Sturryz
I first became interested in Sci Fi when I saw the original Planet Of The Apes films. when did you become interested in Sci Fi?
Wyrdsmith
When the original Battlestar Galactica aired when I was a kid. It was awesome (when I was a kid anyway lol). Books are what really made me a fan. The school library had a huge selection of Heinlen, Bradbury, and Azimov. I was hooked after that.
Smyrnian
When I was in 8th grade or so the text book we used had an Asimov story called Hallucination in it. I thought it was so cool that I went to the school library and looked for other sci-fi stuff and found Heinlein's Space Cadet. I was hopelessly hooked thereon out. RT
Star wars, when I was like 6 or 7. My father was a big 2001 fan too, so that helped I guess.
Magnus
For me it would have to be from watching Star Trek: The Next Generation with my father when I was little. Like father, like son I guess. Odd though, because he really wasn't much of a SciFi nut.
gdwnet
Now to reveal my age (and see if any non-brits know this)... Blakes 7! Darker, Grittier than Star Trek and with a hero who was a computer pogrammer. Seriously cool (for the time) weapons and special effects.
