i never tried the rpg, not much into them. except for exceptional ones. final fantasy series, zelda... i might try the freespace. hook this laptop up to my monitor and use the joystick, give ol' freespace a whirl wing commander style. i havent yet tried those mods , and i have not yet downloaded the latest greatest vega strike, im anxious to see how far its come, because as i said he didnt originally start out with this grand idea. i also see on the site that a release due out january has all new great detail models.

boy vega strike has come far. im sure it surpassed its creators expectations. i remember downloading it about 4 or 5 years ago, its 2003 so probably 6 years ago. that was when it was just a wing commander clone designed to fly wc ships etc...no plans for what it is now. but it certainly does look cool. i knew buying wing commander gold was a good idea. even tho disc 2 never worked. i have secret ops ill try these links. yup helpful. I got the new ATI 9000 mobility, so I'm good there. I looked at the Alienware area51m...nice specs on em. I might just buy an optical mouse, as long as that sensor stays true....i would hate after a while the mouse pointer goes to a delayed reaction. I even have harmon kardon speakers with volume controls here prolly they can plug in and sound a little better.

hey there. For sometime now I have lamented sitting behind my PC in a chair in the same room to do whatever, play games, use the internet etc... I've had the brainstorm to buy a laptop, so I can use a computer in more comfortable places. Like my bed for one. So I decide that as long as I am buying the laptop, I could as well strive for the semi latest/greatest stuff because I'd want to play games on it when I'm away from the desktop or just away. Suffice to say that no matter my doubts I went ahead and ordered. What I am wondering from anyone here is 1) if they use there laptop to play games on and if so, 2) if they use it exclusively and leave out the desktop, and if gaming is or can be as fun on a laptop as compared to the desktop. I mean the keyboard is small...the screen is small and there could never be as good sound as if you have a subwoofer...but like I said, I decided that at somepoint I might play or like to play on it so I chose to go for good hardware rather than older hardware for a cheaper price. these are the specs in brief... 15" sxga+ 2.0ghz P4 512DDR ram 64 ati radeon 9000 (mobility) 40gb hd

or you just right click on the persons name in the menu and click on slap. its already programmed in a popup.

there are a few answers i would like to know. what's the difference in standard of training between a reserve air nation guard pilot and one active...? were they active combat pilots before shifting to a reserve capacity? do they have actual combat experience? what and how often do they train periodically during peace time since they are just reserved? it should be apparant to anyone that a reservist pilot could never be "on the ball" so to speak like an active combat pilot constantly flying patrols. is the case that reserve pilots were called up and sent out there or did they volunteer? and if they were sent...it was a mistake...they are too inexperienced, they don't live with a were at war mind set. to thrust them from reservist duty to combat duty...is just too big a jump for something like that..... but until i hear if anyone can answer my above questions it doesnt make much sense arguing for or against the circumstances of such a deadly mistake. we can sit here and say they should have done this...or that but i for one can say that in that position... a combat pilot thinking he's under attack, how long does he have to react to save his life? maybe in this case it didnt warrant him returning fire on the source so fast, but that would depend on how high he was...and if he knew it was infantry he was seeing...and if that infantry could really be a threat. of course getting a bit windy now is how far is he from controlled friendly territory...is there intelligence of possible enemy in the area...couldn't he AB away mark the position and radio for advice...
