hey it is free now of course. vie.co.uk vie in he uk has the rights to the game heeh but they dont care about it! if you ask me the games rights should have been retained by Rod and JeffP and they should have moved wid de source code..instead they started on a brand new game(hence infantry) and left ss for ashes. vie decided to shut down the servers for ss due to poor sales, but what did they expect? After the game was free for playing for 2 years they thought people would really go and buy it in a box? papi, trench wars...that's one of the most famous zones in the ss community. unfortunately they're having alot of server problems and it has been down a couple times. I've been a moderator in the zone dsb for like 2 years now. Parias, I downloaded Infantry when it was first released, did you? If you did, do you find the current versions are any better than before? Yeah macross, I remember those days netrek....wooo what a killer.
