  1. quote: I was hoping you'd say that :evil grin: Does this mean you can consistently field a valid team?Well, that remains to be seen. We need to wait to see what Remo comes up with.
  2. quote: Yep, that's pretty sad, but we could have some friendly matches between ISS and Prime in the meantime.....and you can still have matches with us Insurgents as well.
  3. quote: Orbiter has a new version ... with virtual cockpit support. That's good to know, Marvin! Thanks for the update.
  4. Looks pretty cool!
  5. Remo, please read the reply to the PM you sent.
  6. quote: I thought it was rubbish.Hehe...I get your point, SC!
  7. quote: maintenance chief is covering up for his girlfriendNot to mention a little fraternization going on there!
  8. Ok...after the 2-hour premiere, what do you all think?
  9. ROTFLAO!
  10. quote: guess i need to throw up a webpage for a spec profile?...errr or is ther some other way?No need to throw up a webpage for the system profile. Just follow this link on how to do it.
  11. quote: I wonder if a 9800 pro or xt would run Rome total war good...Ive heard it performs great, and I don't generally run any games above 1024, or 2x AA.I'm not telling you which to pick, because ultimately it is your choice. However, I own a Radeon Pro 9800 and Rome: Total War. I am very happy with the way the card runs R:TW and I use 1025 x 768 32 bit resolution. Just my two cents!
  12. I picked my copy of the DVD miniseries at Walmart for $19.95.
  13. I'd like to take this time to wish everyone in the Insurgents a Happy New Year. I also hope you all have a prosperous time throughout the coming year. Last month, we finished the first Muliplayer Tournament with the ISS taking the titles. This year, I'd like the Insurgents to take those titles from them. This will entail a little dedication from the active fleet members who wish to compete. Read and learn the ROEs, ask questions, spend some time practicing on the servers, and keep abreast of any new MP ROEs that may be coming. Here is the current active Roster for January 2005: Andergum - PRESENT Chavik - PRESENT Cruis. In - PRESENT Dreadx - PRESENT Echo - PRESENT Eclipse - PRESENT El Che - PRESENT Finder1 - PRESENT Hasenau - PRESENT Mordax Blyrr - PRESENT ShoHashi - PRESENT Stickman - PRESENT MIA Roster therefore reads as follows: Pugwash The following have been purged from the Fleet Database due to inactivity: Kartoffel WeeGee The Corinthian If you are purged from the Fleet Database you need to remove any reference to the Insurgents from your sig. Check in, please! [ 02-04-2005, 07:28 PM: Message edited by: ShoHashi ]
  14. Really? I've been looking for it. How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking?
  15. Definately looking forward to this. Every Friday is gonna be good with StarGate SG-1, StarGate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica!
  16. Well, the 2004 season of the MP tournaments has close with the Best Fleet 2004 going to ISS and the Best Player 2004 going to Ben. I want to take the time to thank Remo for playing a major part in organizing these meets and tournament along with Marvin. I also want to thank Gordon for his work in the Shuttle Strike ROE, as well as Chavik and other fleet members in testing the different ROEs. Thanks also go out to all fleet members (Dreadx, Dreada, Eclipse, etc,) who took the time to compete. This year was basically a "trial and error" type of year for MP tournaments. But throughout the year, we learned what would work and what would not work as far as rules and ROEs. And in the future, I'm certain we will continue to evolve the different aspects of MP tournaments and continue to overcome any difficulties that may arise. Finally, I'd like to thank Derek, for without UC we would never have been able to organize and compete in these tournaments.
  17. Congratulations, ISS, Rip and Ben! Well done! Savor the title while you have it, we Insurgents intend on taking it for 2005!
  18. quote: grr.... missed it but then again family was hereSorry you couldn't be there, Eclipse! We had a ball! No problem, though, we'll go for the title next year! For those of you that missed the tournament, I believe if you are registered over at GalCom Headquarters, you can probably read the MP Client logs from the tournament. Correct me if I'm wrong, Remo.
  19. Ok..that would be fine, Remo.
  20. Looks good to me. My only concern is that if we decide to use it, we use it next season.
  21. quote: how are the graphics and the combat lookingThe graphics are not state of the art, but they do get the job done. To me, graphics are not everything, its the gameplay that matters. As far as combat, when it occurs, you get a screen show all the units involved in the battle and you see damage occuring to each. There are screenshots on the link I mention above that will give you and idea of what the graphics look like. There is also a demo you download and give a try to see if it's your cup of tea.
  22. If any of you out there were addicted to those two games years ago you may be interested in this site. Mr. Kinkaid had bought the rights from those two games off of the former author and he redid the games to be played under the new operating systems. Last night, he just released a demo for Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition which he wrote from scratch. I just gave it a go a couple of hours ago and I can see that it's addicting.
  23. quote: then Sho, through no action of his own, drifted through the GAULAN gate. No one is in Castrin so I go to give Sho a tow when Ben tells me that is outside the rules. I go back to Castrin and try to take out Marvin but didn't have enough time.Yes, I remember that, Chav. Not one of my better moments. Eclipse and I had just jumped over to the Somaris Gate in Castrin to initiate combat with Prime. Remo and his team locked on me and jumped. Once they came out of HJ, it was a madhouse. Everyone was firing and people were getting hit left and right. I was taking some serious damage and decided to get the heck out of dodge, so I targeted the Gaulan Gate and jumped. Unfortunately, Remo and crew were on my tail and jumped as well! I came out of the jump with enough time to FATAL a few missiles at Remo and once he came out and was in range, they let loose as well as my main gunfire. Again, I was taking very heavy damage..shields and hull were down to almost nothing, then silence! I saw in the chat window that I had destroyed Remo. Unfortunately, the Aries was barely holding together. I had no engines, very minimal shields and hull and not a damn thing working on the ship but my life support. And, to top that off, I was drifting towards the gate. I suppose that was the silver lining in the whole furball. It was a bit tense for a minute or so, because I was a sitting duck and was just waiting for Denny and Marvin to finish me off...but, to my astonishment, they never came. Eclipse and Chav were obviously keeping them occupied with problems of their own. Next thing I knew, I was through the gate into Gaulan. And that was were I stay the rest of the tournament...just adrift! That was probably one of the best MP games I have ever had!
  24. Nope..here is fine for the moment, Echo!
