Well peeps, I don't know what to do anymore. I've had this game since the day before Thanksgiving and have yet to be able to get more than 15 hours(2 hours on average) use out of it before I start getting constant CTD's and lockups,and save file format errors. And this is straight out the box.I have lost count on how many times I have reformatted and reinstalled my OS, reinstalled various drivers, repatched, started NEW games,and done everything in the troubleshooting FAQ. I am not a computer expert by no means, but I believe I can follow directions well enough and I have done everything possible that I can find on this website to correct these issues, and nothing works. I am admittedly now very frustrated and depressed over this because I bought this machine for the express purpose of playing THIS game which I have waited for for so long and it won't play it .As I now have no more hair to pull out I guess I'll ask one of you experts for any advice on what else I can do. Also, I have mentioned this before but didn't get a satifactory answer and don't know if it's related, when the game does run for some time, I am getting problems with getting my ships repaired. Sometimes even when I have all the parts and materials needed,the blammin' engineers won't repair my systems to full. They suspend it at between 95 and 100% and NOTHING will ever make them repair it above that even if that same system gets re-damaged and I replace or repair it again. No matter if I use a stations or my own engineers.Well hope I can get some help here because I REALLY, REALLY. want to play this game. I seems to keep running just long enough to keep me from just giving up but I am almost at to end of having any hope of ever getting it to work.

1)THANKS! 2) I have all the supplies! Even tried having them just replace the systems instead of repairing....same thing happens 3)Using the same dell supplied drivers with xp as i was using with millenium.

Hello folks, To keep it short, I have few issues that i don't know how to solve. 1) I'm not the most computer literate person in the world so could someone PLEASE tell me how to get the link to my system specs working. 2)whenever in get damaged and have the system engineers repair the damage, especially on my support craft and fighters, at around 95 to 99% they ALWAYS suspend the repairs. Makes no difference if it's MY engineers or a stations, I can never get anything a 100% repaired. 3)Just upgraded from Windows Millenium to XP and no longer have this problem but under Millenium when ever ANYTHING hyperjumped, the graphic would just freeze and never completely enter hyperspace. Game wasn't locked or anything, could still give orders and stuff but just couldn't go anywhere. Thanks in advance

Nice to see that I got some response here. I'm no computer expert so don't understand all that scaleable lingo stuff, but if it was possible, just think of cool effects or possiblities, super humungous things like Dyson spheres! If someone does make a script with something like that on it I would like to see it!

Wow fast response! Well haven't played the demos yet for BCM. New 'puter hasn't arrived yet should be here by wednesday and old system isn't good enough to play it on. But have ordered the CD(have slow connection and it a LARGE download) Commander Malcom

Hello folks, I've been following this message board for over a year now and this is the first time I've ever posted on it so I'm not sure it this where I'm suppose to post this.I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this game and have even bought a brand spanking new system to play it on, so i hope it gets released before my new 'puter becomes obsolete. I have had BC3000AD for some time now, though I have never quite conquered the persistent crashes and lost saves that happen, but have been able to play enough to get a good feel for the game.What I would like to know is, In BCM will we actually be able to fly to the stars themselves. In BC300AD we can go to all the planets, moons, or whatever in a star system but can't go to the star itself. Was just wondering. Be kinda cool to skim the surface of stars or hide in their intense magnetic fields.....you get the picture. And BTW probably won't be able to play enough to actually try and join a fleet since I am attending school and working full time, but if I WAS to consider a fleet, just want everyone to know that Wraith seems the one for me ...You know that sneak in and get out type of stuff..sounds like fun Commander Malcom
