Well, I *have* been experiencing some technical difficulties. My husband could explain things better, but I will try: Here's the system I am using: Celeron 400Mhz, 128MB ram, Abit motherboard, Diamond Monster Vodoo 2 + Diamond Speedstar 2d, Soundblaster Live!Value, 8 Gigabyte Hard Drive, no joystick (hope that's everything) Anyway, my intermittent crashes have gone away since we started using the Win9x shell/skin/whatever. I guess the problem is the sound setup. The other day I came home to a swearing husband as he was trying to configure the sound. All he kept saying was "This should be working, this should be working!" He explains that I can't use the fancy 3D graphics under the current configuration. However, I am content with the current performance (but he's a nitpicker). So, I guess our problem is sound setup. He's a computer technician, so I belive him when he proclaims that he has tried everything. Maybe there's something strange with our hardware or something? Anyway, the game has been working fine through the Win9X thingy, so I'm gonna learn as much as I can! Thanks for all the help. Hehe... I was posting under my husband's name for this thread (before I got my own). He's a computer-lover and got me into games with Privateer. Guess that's what has drawn me to BattleCruiser - where he likes the action of a small craft, I prefer the strategy and management of a large vessel. Kinda ironic now: he has little time for games, but I find myself in front of the computer screen more and more. Well, Prime is my choice and I'll have a RP paragraph or two soon. Hi Everyone, My husband finally got the game working (kinda) and I've been playing a bit in-between crashes. It's a bit confusing (sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what I'm doing), but I do enjoy the whole concept (very unique). I am looking forward to BattleCruiserMillenium and hope to meet you all then. I plan on joining the Prime fleet and I will post a role-playing snippet (as soon as time allows).
