I have a Sony laptop with a NeoMagic 256av video/sound combo. It advertises Soundblaster compatibility and indeed does work correctly when I run the sound setup application. Both the digital and midi sounds work great. The game itself gets no sound though. I've read most every post for the past year on here and have done everything I could find. I have the blaster line in my startup files and have the application properties setup as in the faq. I'm on the road alot and have been playing for a while without sound, but it sure makes things easier when you have it.
