  1. Huh, sorry, but I don't know how to access to the planet when I'm in space, but using AP in atmosphere make my speed go to ~8500, but its still not enough. Half an hour is kinda lot of time. ------------------ ------------------ Commander Epsilon 5 StalkerIV Fleet-unregistered "Hmmm... what was that? Just another fighter explosion."
  2. Each time I go on a planet, I always get to the same area, and it takes me a hell lot of time to get to the starbase, even if I go down on the planet by different approachs. Is there a way to: a: travel faster on a planet (more than 2200 to travel 16000 units...)? b: get directly to where you want to go when you descent into atmosphere?
  3. For me, it is: Independence day (even though I'm canadian ;p) Blade (not bladerunner, I mean the vampire-action movie ) I can't wait to see the Matrix !
  4. Then just imagine how many fleet-registered people are registered for nothing...
  5. I play 85% of the time at bc3k on my computer (an old onbe, still) and 14% at Wipeout XL. The 1% left is a VERY cheap motocross game : action supercross demo, or across. I have a friend with top-of-the-line computers, and I play there 90% at Half-life opposing force (and also Jumbot, Scientist hunt and std mods), 5% at Bang Gunship elite (BGE) and 5% at 4x4 evolution oem version
  6. I don't know for you guys, but in my game (bc3k2.09), OrionHQ is around Moon-Europa/Jupiter/Sol, when Orion commanders are tagged to Centris and Wraith is near the Gammulan quadrant when Wraith commanders are tagged to Lyrius. Why the fleet HQ have been moved? (I know they're like that in BCM, but why is it different from bc3k?)
  7. Hello, -+=jaP+=-. Welcome to the raider world. I like this mode to, it gives me always something to worry about. If you want to talk about starstations, I'lll let you know that I took over (captured) ISS and GHQ, and now proceeding to OrionHQ. I don't like to destroy them, cause allies (yes, allies for a raider) are always useful, but boy that I reloaded when I tried to capture GHQ! Since in the raider mode you have by default fleet C&C, I have fun to fight being escorted by 4 BC's and some cruisers. It makes a Hell of a battle in Jupiter! Just if I could a better computer...
  8. Aramike, if I rely on what you say, traders can't make money more than for the living. If a trader lives in fear cause he can't defend himself, or that he is forced to be defended by mercs (in BCM, if you play trader, you can't play anything else than an unarmed transport) and that can't rely on mass buyers (fleets) (so to rely on station-to-station and UCV crafts), how can he, let's say, have fun?
  9. For me, it was the Mighty game of all times: Super Mario Bros 3 on the old Nintendo 8bits (the first one) Seems that I'm younger that much of you guys.
  10. Well, I don't know too much about Galcom online and I'm not affiliated to any RPG, but being a trader can be very lucrative. If you downloaded the files in mission control, you can play as a trader. Since you are a trader, no military caste of any race will attack you. When you buy a load of AD items at 0% inflation and sell them at a AG station with 40% inflation, it gives A LOT of money, unless you don't have the money to start. The best tihng to do is to rush your cash to the best engine and reactor, so travelling cost you much less. Is my UBB coding alright?
  11. Sorry, forget about my ignorance, but I didn't knew how fast buying and selling was when you wait enough... Damn it helps...
  12. Well... about TradCom, I use 1 trick: Go in the control panel, open the accessibility control (or something like that) and activate the mouse keys. Normally, a small logo should appear in the system tray saying if it is activated. Using the numpad 5 you can click. You still have to click 2000 times to load 2000 radine in a shuttle, but it hurts less for the finger.
  13. Well, seems your crew loves you so much they don't want to stop working for you... Since bc3k is made so the commander can give any orders, if the problems appens again, you can send your crew off duty or to the medibay manually via the Tactical/crew menu. This raise another question: I can send EVERYONE to medibay (including my alter-ego), but why the ship continues to fly and fight around? Talk about an autopilot!
  14. This is a very short trick. If you're tired of losing shuttle because of /*$%& intruders, just shut off launch control power. Activate it only when you need to launch or to dock one of your ship. Intruders won't access your computer to force their way out. I noticed that in v2.09, the shuttles self-destruct themselves when you come near, so trying to get them back is useless.
  15. I forgot. To capture the station, it need to be sos. It become sos when the reactor status (the left number in video target) is almost 0. If it reaches 0, the station blows.
  16. About the copilot ting, thanks a lot. It's sometimes quite useful. And about hating and ranking, it seems that reviewers are quite interested in BCM. TYhey still say there is too much commands, but they say without that much, the game wouldn't be that good.
  17. I agree with Wold. It's MY game, not their. I play, I have fun, they don't and I don't care. But the dos thing is quite bizarre. Even if it's in dos, it still works, eh? So whatever! But I think it's mostly about the manual I had to read at least 5 times all over to really know what and how to do anything. Does anybody could say me HOW DO YOU GET TO THE IC COPILOT COCKPIT?!? And one last thing, since I live in Canada, I don't know at all Derek Smart.
  18. Personnally I love bc3k (If only my computer could be faster...), but everybody around me hate the game. They laugh at me when I say the game is cool and that I love it. They always say "there is too much details and control to worry about", or "the graphic engine is sluggish", "nothing ever happens", "you get destroyed by a single ship without having time to destroy it", "the game always crashes"... Why everybody says that? I've seen on another space-simulation games related forum and they said "... don't talk me about bc3k or I will hit you!" Luckily, It seems that bcm will attract more people than bc3k, but it's only beacause it's a windows game and that the graphics will be much better.
  19. About the ACM, I already know. Even in Freeflight it's sluggist. Just have to approach Spectre HQ and all the missiles running around reduce my FPS to less than 5. But anyway, when everything is normal, it goes from 10 to 20fps...
  20. Finally, I have a new video card, a 3Dfx one. Here is my system description. The video thing is kinda tricky. Pentium 150 32mb RAM 1 mb Cirrus logic video card LINKED with a 4mb Diamond Monster 3D acceleration addon card (Named MULTIMEDIA DEVICE under windows) I can now start the game in 3Dfx mode (which I wasn't able with only my CL card) but the game is NOT FASTER AT ALL. I have the latest drivers, but it changes nothing. The video card is supposed to handle Direct3D, OpenGL, 3Dfx with glide up to v3.x. It works perfectly with all my other games, but not in BC3000AD v2.09 Is my system configuration incompatible or the game too complex for my CPU to help the FPS goo up? The game DOES start in 3Dfx, because the sun glow is colored (normally it's white) I know it's stupid, but it's the only proof that I'm in 3Dfx. If you wonder about my video config, here are some technical details: In windows, I use my CL-5446 drivers. Then, on the monitor output, I plug a wire to the Monster card. Then I plug my monitor on the Monster card. In windows, The device is named under MULTIMEDIA DEVICE as Diamond Monster 3D video accelerator. Could someone help?
  21. Are you crazy!?! My computer isn't good enough for that! I still have an old pentium 150mhz! In v2.09, my framerate goes from 12 to 3fps, and this is only in freeflight! In ACM, it goes from 5 to 1fps. Unless you want to test if it's still playable on an old computer... I would like to test the game, but I don't think I really can...
  22. Well, also, if you're interested, I made the first big battle at an average FPS of 5 and reloading only 2 times! All this without losing any Interceptor (I didn't used then at all), any shuttle and without upgrading before. But i've spent about an hour transferring the missiles in shuttle 4 and in all my ATV's. But I find exagerated to finish the battle and sell all the useless item and getting out with nearly 300 million galcreds.
  23. Thanks a lot. I've tried the Insurgent ACM, and it's simply... COOOOL! Talk about a beginning battle! The other modes are good too.
  24. Well, was it really worth it? Was is better than in dos?
