  1. quote: quote:2. How do I go about increasing the crew's AI?I only know of one way, and that's to leave them on station. Someone did some calculations on how long it'd take you to get them to 100 AI, and the figures came out to like a few months or something, IIRC. Make sure Windows is clean and like, stable, before undertaking such a mission. My rig's not really stable enough to go longer than like a couple days game time, but that's because I screw around too much. Lol. I might be completely clueless, but if make sure your crew members are actually doing something, their ai will increase faster. i.e. get escorted by your fighters and shuttles, put marines on search, fly on autopilot (NOT in combat, that would be plain stupid) .. stuff like that. I believe after a while my 2 shuttle pilots we're up to 25 ai, and even at that point they seemed less stupid. my flight officer went over 30 ai.
  2. quote:Originally posted by Dragon Lady: quote: You're lucky. If I sleep about 3 hours one night, the day after I'm feeling sick. not dizzy, very tired, and sick. Really? I can do just fine on the occasional one hour of sleep (not every night, or even most, but on occasions) and never have the least bit of nausea. Of course, the dizziness has more to do with my eating habits then my sleeping ones. With insufficient sleep itÔÇÖs usually a vague fuzziness rather then dizziness, but the two go very well together. Well my sister has been sick since monday, and I need to babysit here. Monday : sleep at 3:15, get up at 7 -- 3:45 sleep Tuesday : sleep at 1:15, get up at 7 -- 5:45 sleep Wednesday : sleep at 2:00, get up at 7 -- 5:00 sleep and tomorrow I gotta get up at 6:35 ... we're (read: I am) going to see the doctor with my sister, and get both her and me checked... I'm feeling sick ... oh and friday I work at 8:30am til noon, and I,ll probably sleep in the afternoon. saturday I,ll probably be sleeping from 1-2 am to 3 pm .. since I work in the evening that day .. I should be ok after that ...
  3. Yes I startted receiving those, I was wondering WTF was doing that.
  4. Marines ready for combat deployment ... Marines ready for combat deployment ... Marines ready for combat deployment ... Marines ready for combat deployment ... Marines ready for combat deployment ... BANG!

  8. quote:That's alot, I only pay out ┬ú10/month for my broadband (with external modem). That must be a CRAPPY access! I have enough people who told me their broadband costs, and I know that Qu├®bec has the cheapest broadband access in the world, while being reliable ... Modem location included, I pay 45cnd (about 28us) a month for a 1200/160mbps access. I want to get sympatico ultra which is about 70cnd a moth, or 45us, and which offers 3000/800mbps access [ 10-21-2002, 01:15 PM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  9. Hmm - perhaps if you can get Nova to reply here, I know he's on AOL broadband. Personally I have Bell / Sympatico service. i don't know if it's the same plan as the one offered by Bellsouth, but I love my internet. My only problem is that I have a download, which I hate. I'm trying to get approval to get the Sympatico ultra service (3x faster, 2x size cap) but I'm waiting for my mom's approval, and for several reasons it's starting to look like bureaucracy (been 3 weeks since I asked her)...
  10. great to have you back [ 10-19-2002, 11:41 PM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]

  12. quote:Originally posted by Joel Schultz: When I was in Ireland (not N. Ireland) on vacation, the tour guide said that on the road, distances are measured in kilometers while speed limits are in miles per hour. Or maybe it was the other way (distances in mi and speed in kph). Talk about really weird -- at least if you're using units from the same system for speed and distance, figuring out how long it'll take to get somewhere is trivial.the speed was probably in kph - and the stones in miles - hence the term milestone
  13. This one is cool too - yet both seem to have pretty sharp-edged wings.
  14. quote:Originally posted by Lotharr: And blessed was the EP5 whom gave unto the righteous the tools of counterterrorism upon which the spawn of evil had no defense, for once employed this artifact would send the unholy demons hurtling back into the abysmal hell from whence they came!!!!Hahaha I am demi-god once again Remember this?
  15. With catchwords like "rogue states" and "the axis of evil must be destroyed" (It was written in large letters on the back of the box), you better not get Real war : rogue states. Oh and it got a bad review. It gives a stereotypical feel of an after 9/11. Glad I didn't buy it Just so you know.
  16. Invert roles!
  17. past 5 am and I'm not in bed! gawd! I'm not tired! *collapses on keyboard* [ 10-18-2002, 05:03 AM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  18. Very very nice indeed. I can't wait to see what it looks like finished.
  19. quote:BTW, isn't it only America that uses non-Si?Yup. Only america, although several countries still use alot pounds insteads of kilograms for weight. I know I weight around 170lb, but I have no idea in kg
  20. quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: exactly. its not a rounded even number. 1 yard = 3 feet nice and round. no decimals no nothing yards and feet are in the same system. they are bound to be round
  21. quote:how many feet equal a meter??? 1 ft>m .3048 1 m>ft 3.28083989501 I love my graphical calculator ... I always keep it handy.
  22. Very interesting -- but I'll keep on WATCHING If someone can actually win, the next step should be about putting a manned flight on orbit then coming back safely. 100 km above isn't space. 1000km is. But you have one hell of a view even at 100km [ 10-17-2002, 03:00 PM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
