Wel i pretty much get my highest speed, which is determined by my isp. My modem could go much faster if it was left loose.

I agree with most of the comments inside, I think it's an excellent review that about reflects what I think of the game.

First, I won't upgrade windows. It's not necessary, and i simply don't want to. the driver i have (if it's what I think it is) is listed as "Efficient networks P.P.P.o.e adapter [NTSP3]" in my network/system properties. If I had a third computer and one that isn't as noisy as hell (my new comp makes WAY too much noises for me... and it's not my hard-drive...) I would probably do it.

Er.. might I tell you that I'm using a ADSL under PPPoe protocol? I can have "drivers" from my isp but they are unsupported.

85fps when I start the game. 65fps long after autogen pitched in. 55fps in crowded areas 35-45fps in large battles. I have a tbird 950mhz, a asus gf2 mx400 64mb and 256mb ram non-ddr I run the game in 800x600x32, all options on, including music. Contrail type doesn't matter at all, but I'm generally using particle ones.

Well I should be downloading Mandrake linux 8.1 (the 3 ISOs) and install it on the Thurderbird (the new comp) and I'll have Koffice and Star office. However I probably won't be able to go on the internet in Linux... But I can't really get rid of MS office... my mother would be mad, she's not good in computers and it took (alot of) time for her to understand how to use word... One day maybe (hopefully) she might become "skilled" with computers...

Transcript from french email my mother received - probably applies to everyone in america. --- Do not press 90# on your phone. I received a phone call yesterday from someone saying being a Technician working for AT&T currently testing our line. He said that to complete the test he needed me to press 90, #, and then hang up. Fortunately, I was suspicious and I refused. When I called the phone company, they told me that when you press 90#, you give the caller full access to the phone line, whatever the company you're on, so the caller can make long-distances calls that would be billed to me. I was informed that this tactic is used in several local prisons. Do not press 90# for anyone. Please pass the word to everyone you know. --- Eesh... why do they have that 90# thing for anyway?

Alex, don't feel bad, I was just naming the facts. Hamblin is still my friend (well at least last of my knowledge ), but I gave the facts why Hamblin is gone from this board. He's still a good guy... to me. Hamblin is gone for good. He did a personnal attack on Derek, and it's not the first time. He's not hiding it too. And he'd probably do it again if he was given the chance. In fact he does it from time to time on irc and icq...

My apology to Derek Smart and the BC community I want to publicly apologize for my blatant support of warez on a Game Developers' own forum, to First and foremost Derek Smart, and to the Community as a whole. I wasn't bragging about the software I use, nor was I trying to. This whole situation has made me more aware exactly how warez affects the software industry as a whole. I had no idea the trouble I was about to start with my post. I always told myself that one day, when I would be able, I would buy everything that I have or had warez, if possible. Now I'm thinking about it more than ever. It will probably cost me a few paychecks (when I'll be working, hopefully soon), but it will be worth it, and I'll have my conscience back. I always thought that I meant no harm to the companies from which I got their software illegally, because I wouldn't have gotten their software without warez anyway. Well whether it's true or false, I was still stealing. And stealing is wrong. I can only hope that Derek and the rest of the BC Community will forgive me for my short sightedness.
