Yes indeed. Very good article that, nice one. Spotted something on the page about the new BCM website (in "News" bits at the bottom of the article) which says you can Pre-order BC 3020 AD at 42 dollars, while BCM is 45 dollars. Very strange... thought 3020 had been "shelved". ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group www.orionfleet.com cometh the storm!"

Hehe, you have all glossed-over the biggest "WOW" in gaming history... I remember printing the Manual and Appendices on the colour laser-jet at work and thinking: "WOW! - I gotta read all THAT?!?" ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "Here cometh the storm!"

Thanks Carlton, I'm just "Keeping the British end up, sir"! (James Bond, 'The Spy Who Loved Me' circa 1977). Thought I'd respond to the FC's requests to get the Orion Comms Forum going a bit. Seems a little quiet at the moment, with only half a dozen of us actively participating, but hopefully things will pick up again soon. Seez you out there... ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "Here cometh the storm!"

And if I want to join a fleet...
Badger replied to Epsilon 5's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
Hey there Epsilon 5! Agreed, your English is great man! Yeah, they got some nice stuff over at Wraith I must say, and the Corsair Wing deep in the Gammulan quadrant... very appealing. So why did I pledge allegiance to Orion Fleet then? Well, as FC Savage said, Orion is the "HEAVY ASSAULT FLEET, and as such we are tasked with the big assed pounding work" - nuff said, and that's what appealed to me. Wraith I'm sure won't be idol though, but while I visited the site, I visited a lot of coffee bars as well as a place called "Quark's" I think, and I thought it was all very nice - if Caffeine's your sort a thing!! For me well, here's my favourite quote: "Just let me blow this up first, then I'm all ears"... Naturally, it's your decision and you shouldn't let all this gratuitous recruiting persuade you in any particular direction at all!! ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "Here cometh the storm!" No worries, sorted Sir, and thanks for the quick response - I've posted elsewhere tonight, so I'll just quickly scoot round and mod them too. Btw, I amended the "Star Station" bit too 'cos I noticed that darn spell checker's stuck its nose into my business again! PS: I've also come across the ICQ / Fleet Meetings thread you posted, so that's answered that one for me! Will mod my profile when I have ICQ. Okay, so I just expanded threads further than I had done before, and I got to this one. Accordingly, I've removed the "Commander" from the TBC line, to comply with Fleet Regs. Fleet Commander Blades, may I ask if I can keep that neat link to Tsunami that I've come up with? Or maybe it, or: "The tide is against all who choose to be our enemies" could be of some use to the Fleet in general - at some time?? ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Star Station (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "The tide is against all who oppose us." Hehe, that has to be the closest "Hello... and Goodbye!" that I've seen yet. May I suggest that "Start as you mean to go on" would not be the best motto to adopt! I think you're the first guy I've seen on the BC Forum who's from Malaysia. In which case, an extra "Hello and welcome aboard" from me. This game sure is global, one could even say "Galactic"! Anyway, I hadn't better Jatto Chimpadak (sp?) any longer, I'd best get back to The Game we all love best! PS: Apologies if I missed anyone else from the area, 'cos it wouldn't suprise me if I had. For the best part of two years, I missed the fact that Blades lived thirty five miles from me! Go figure! ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Star Station (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "Here cometh the storm!" Hey there Eagle, welcome aboard! I wouldn't say the guys don't like newbie questions, as ShoHashi just said, you can always come here if you're stuck. And that's the point, if you're stuck, 'cos if it's a daft question that's been on these forums umpteen times or the answer's in the manual, then i guess it can't fail to become tedious! Great game isn't it? I did what you've done and found it much more rewarding than diving on these boards and getting chewed! I play it that much that I find it hard to fit in other games sometimes ...and speaking of which: "When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you" ... do I spot a Baldur's Gate fan, I ask myself?? Anyway, welcome to the community Eagle, it's a really great one too and ...(LOL aramike!)... A big Hello! from The Orion Fleet, The best Fleet in the Galaxy. ...Me? Bias? Nah! ------------------ Commander Badger GCV - Accentia, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Tsunami Battle Group http://www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk/ "Here cometh the storm!" The Patch is available for download from GameSpot UK if you still want to try it out. Please see my posted reply in [New Commanders/oi! oi! oi!] and click on the link in that message to start the download. The text file to read through first is called bc3k209win.txt and btw, it also includes the following words of wisdom... "This is program is unsupported and is not a patch to the DOS version. Use at your own risk." Have fun! ------------------ Cmdr Badger BC Accentia [This message has been edited by Badger (edited 01-13-2001).]

Still need the windows patch file? It is available on the following web address. The link still works, 'cos I just tried it. http://www.gamespot.co.uk/misc/ftp/dlfs.ht...com/gs/strategy /battlecr/bc3k209win.zip ------------------ Cmdr Badger BC Accentia [This message has been edited by Badger (edited 01-12-2001).]

Hi, Cmdr Schacher wrote: "The command to keep the window open is a checkbox on the program tab on the properties dialog for the icon." ... In the same properties box, you will find a memory tab. In there you can check to see if the "initial environment" is set to 4096 - the number refered to earlier in this thread. ---------------- Cmdr Badger BC Accentia [This message has been edited by Badger (edited 01-12-2001).]
