Some FTP sites where you can get the BCM demo note that there are two versions. 88MB and a 166MB. There are two versions of this demo. The LOW CONTENT version and the HIGH CONTENT version. Other than an added number of sound and voice effects, higher resolution space environment textures etc, both version use the SAME code kernel and have the SAME scenarios. If if are on a slow download pipe, you should download the LC version. A these sites the BCM demo is already available. I was working on the Galcom Academy and i had some trouble uploading files. Since i may have some diskspace limitation i moved/mirrored it at geocities site. Thanx, A good manual doesn't always cover strategy and tactics. Guess these have to be developed with trial and error or should i say learn as you go. I myself like to see a summary of best practices a things that you run into as a gamer. I think with BCM strategy and tactics need to be changed. With the introduction newsunits in the Fog Of War we will truely be able to make strategy and tactics. Interesting units are STO missile, Area Defense Shield, Combat Assault Buggie (CAB or humvee), Early Warning Radar. This is really what i want to document and an online site is the ideal medium since it's very flexible. So i will continue to work on this site as often as i can. Maybe in another name if Derek decides to use the name for more offical purposes, but will update it one way or the other. I found out why i didn't continue in the first place. It's time consuming and kinda difficult starting again , it has been awhile. Just yesterday i was completely frustrated because i bought Gunship! it's it was nothing like i expected. I'm more then ever commited to support the games i like , most definitly the BC series. Uh oh, I kinda like alternative music that makes me a possible suspect, though i'm not from the Quake/Doom generation i never these games. Hehe, however maybe i'll get hooked on the strikepack (this is as close as i get to quake-genre)then i will fit right in : ) But seriously i was raised openminded and my mother never wore casual clothes. This part really strikes me: My life has been turned upside down over the last few days, all because I wear a trenchcoat to school. The vice principal called the local sheriff because of rumors that he herd. On Friday I had my home searched by 3 deputies I recall a similar incident from my youth where a police officer called my mother a whore because she wore a black leather jacket and the neigherhood helped to fuel the idea. There you have the volatile mixture; prejudice and narrow minded people. It's a shame that the Academy was never finished. Maybe i should finish it before BCM arrives but by then a lot of things will be changed in bc3k. Well better late then never, right?
