take the eb job. yes there is a employee discount. i believe you can also check out software, bring it home, try it out and then return it. if you like it, you can then buy it. saves on wasting money. also proable less hassle at a eb store, you can also promote bcm to all customers who are looking for a game that is totally differnet like none ever before it.

I agree you do need some form of recruitment and or reorganisation. But you should not move members from 1 fleet to another. clearly there is a number advantage to galcom! Better recruiting can be the answer, moving people around within your fleet structure on a temp basis maybe the answer. what happens if the next 20 or so users who join up all choose galcom? A huge advantage, but it will make things lopsided in MP? What if the next 20 people join and all go Indy? You could put a freeze on enlisting to galcom(only a thought)and then people may join the Insurgents or Earthcom? But some of you said that you joined your particular fleet for a particular reason and may not be interested in other fleets. That then requires the current FC to do something for enlistment purposes? Because actually the more even a playing field in fleet numbers, the more the individual users skils will be showcased! If there is a 5 on 5 battle for instance, individual talents and skills at playing the game will surely shine instead of I have a bigger and better ship than you attitude.

Gonegold has had that for a week or so. Never really updated it when Ebgames changed it to Oct 15th. Might be optimistic thinking but I doubt it. SC said a few days ago, I forgot which thread, that Ebgames finally had a clue on the release date, which was Oct 15th. Hey, what ever if Oct 15 is the magic date, a few days won't kill us.

Even if it had that listed on the box, I'd rather be stationed on the worst ship in the janitorial fleet cleaning the head!

Don't wait. I have a GeForce 2 Ultra, when I first played the BCM demo, I ahd to do 1 tweak, z-buffering. In demo 2 BCM no tweaks. Never liked ATI, would rather be piloting a freighter being attacked by a Stormcarrier than use ATI.

Very Interesting, 3 responses from Orion Fleet, including the Fleet leader! The Insurgents don't have a clue what's going on, possibly! I don't either, interms of your plans, which I shouldn't. If I had to bet, I may have a hunch(then I loose almost all bets); that's why I don't bet. Anyway, Orion Fleet can have the 1st crack at the Insurgents, Earthcom will be there when called upon!

That happens to me when i go to tow a hostile ship that is emitting and SOS First I jump to the location of the disabled ship, an as i come out of the jump, Wow I'm in null space usually wait a second to get bearings, then jump back to real space

If you are looking for something that will counteract the force of a black hole, then you must get a "SC drive" From listening to all the stuff we keep posting over the years(the old guys) and us newbies; that is probably the only thing that can keep ongoing, and going and going, ...etc

Badgerius, you are correct, Earthcom is not part of Galcom. But, still it is a fleet, as mentioned on the main fleets page. All the bucks went to Galcom, with money still leftover for Earthcom. I believe that Earthcom still has a viable presence. Also, better take a look at ISS home page like Fleet Cmmdr DeSylva said, ISS does alot more than just Sol. I have win98se and win2k pro. I have separate drives for each. My boot drive is a 4.3gb ide hd, on here I have win98se and office2kpro. My second hd is a 10.0gb ide hd, on here I have win2kpro w/spack2. I also have office XP enterprise. I see no slowdown in performance at all. Windows 95,98,Me must be insatlled on primary hd, c drive. Win NT and win2k can be installed on primary if you want or on any other hd (ide or scsi). If you adopt a 2 drive system, I believe it gives you more freedom to do things. I also have a 3rd hd, a 40.0 gb ide, this I use for gaming. My goal is to fill it up with BCM and anytthing BCM related. I hoped that helped

Take a look at Ebgames They still say 09-03-01 as release date! Right now we are 6 days away from that. Usually SC has the Ebgames update the release date by pushing it back 2 weeks or so when we get this close. Is it going to get pushed back, tonight, tomorrow, Friday! Maybe all of a sudden a BCM goes Gold notification! Only the SC knows! Or is the SC going to give us all a big surprise! Just gives me more time to practice killing Insurgents and the like!
