  1. I am up to the R.A.N.D.O.M. mission in the Gammulan quadrant in the Campaign game. I've destroyed one Gammulan starbase and I have tried to dock at the Green Wraith friendly starstation and some other blue starstation in the region to get more Vagrants so I can continue the mission. ALT D had no effect in what was the normal docking procedure. What is going on?!!
  2. I read something on one of the many threads floating around about a marine who had a duplicate on board the BC and his look alike who refused to leave a planet's surface. The best suggestions by the experts were to waste the look alike, since marines are obviously expendable. I've run into a similar situation with our fearless leader himself - Karl Reines. I'm being told at the beginning of a mission that he is enjoying some hard earned time off, 3 weeks of basking in the rays of Alpha Centauri on some secluded beach on Cronus. My orders are to pick him up there for my next mission. He, (or his twin brother) is resting comfortably at this moment in the VIP quarters of my BC. Should I let the vacationing Karl on Cronus book his own Carnival Cruiseship back to GALCOM HQ? Surely nobody would advocate the marine solution in the case of the Supreme Commander, would they?
  3. I had all 40 of my Marines either searching or On Station (mostly searching) and I still could do nothing but watch all 4 of my Interceptors get taken 1 by 1 for permanent test drives by intruders when I was patrolling Varan awaiting further orders during my 2nd TOD in the Campaign. What's the latest secret in preventing that from happening?
  4. Thanks for the tips gentlemen.
  5. Well, I bit the bullit and started a new Campaign (version 2.09), and discovered the hard way one of the new improvements in the game is how far a tank full of Radine Crystals won't get you. {It made me think of Gas prices in the early 70's as compared with todays}. 100 Radine used to get me twice as far without a refill as opposed to now, 1000 Radine gets me about 16 MPG. I've run out of gas in the middle of the desert (of space) and I left my cell phone back at GALCOM HQ. How can I get a tow? I have no gas to launch a shuttle. Also, what is a practical way to pay for the massive ammounts of Radine needed during a Campaign, when there is really no time to mine with back to back missions?
  6. I've spent weeks playing and learning BC3000AD. I managed to complete 2 tours of duty and much time and effort capturing several star stations in the Campaign game. I've slowly built up EP and medals and then I made the mistake of installing the patches. There is no warning up front about not being able to resume a saved game after installing the patches on the page where the patches are downloaded from. Considering the precious time it takes to accomplish rising in rank and securing the star stations, what is supposed to be the incentive to start a Campaign over completely from scratch? There are no variables in starting a new campaign, the missions are the same. I would have preferred to keep going with version 2.07 without the planet cities than being told as an after thought: "oh by the way, your saved game is history now". A patch is supposed to correct errors and enhance the EXISTING game, not wipe it out! I have no heart to start over, it took too long to get where I was. Somebody blew it by not posting this next to the patch downloads: WARNING: EVERYTHING YOU'VE WORKED SO HARD FOR WILL BE FOR NOUGHT IF YOU INSTALL THESE PATCHES!
