  1. Anyone know where I could get a good Amiga emulator with roms for Windows? Also, does anyone know where I may find a rom called Eternal Champions for Sega Genesis emulator? TIA
  2. Oh, and thank you, thank you, thank you
  3. Yes! Amiga! WOOHOO! Gotta have it!
  4. I've only had this PC since last year. I'm still finding out all kinds of stuff about it. I was a console gamer since my mom made me sell my C-64. Ah, the nostalgia hehe. Now if only I can find the Ultima series, Bard's Tale, Questron and a bunch of other C-64 roms this emulator can play
  5. This is great! You just gave me a link to a good C64 emulator. Thanks http://koti.mbnet.fi/~leppaluo/content/c64.html
  6. I meant to say when going through space battles. I just can't imagine a BC spinning around as fast as it does in X1. And then, when I go cargosweeping with the shuttles, I like to speed it up to X8 to get it over with. Or when I travel far places and use the AI. I slow it back down when it's time to fight. I just like that convenience.
  7. All this time I wanted to play the game out of debug mode just to find out that I can no longer change the speed of the game. I don't mean to sound picky but X1 is just way too fast and doesn't seem realistic to me. I like playing at around /2 or /4. Guess I'll just have to keep it in debug and not use the HSD. :- Thanks to everyone for their help.
  8. Who are you guys talking about? Noone in this thread wants the Artifacts (by cheating). If anything, I asked about how I can get out of debug mode so that I can play the game in an "honest" way... By the way, I'm trying to download the patch from Fileplanet.com now.
  9. Well, one other reason why I want to try it is because the game lags a little and I was hoping that maybe taking it out of debug mode might give me more FPS. Plus, I don't like cheating
  10. damn, the link on that page is dead...
  11. hmm...this is what was in the ini file when I first opened it: [bC3000AD] ;cdrom drive letter. Set by INSTALL or if user relocates game after install cdrom=c:BC3000AD ;Home directory. Set by INSTALL or if user relocates game after install home=c:BC3000AD ;current game version. Usually updated by install and patch updates version=2.09 + map pak ;installation type. Full, Medium, or Small install=Full ;location of PTE config & texture files. If blank, Home directory is searched ptefiles=bc3lib3.res ;Installed language language=english It seems to be already pointing to the right drive. Yet, when I take out the /d1 in the bat file, it asks me to place the cdrom into the c drive. Does anyone know of a "crack" I can download and place in the BC3k folder?
  12. Ok, thanks. I'll try it. Hopefully I won't need a patch.
  13. Buy deflector arrays at Earth. Sell at pluto. CHA CHING
  14. Oh, and I captured that station. I just kept shooting it one too many by accident. Once I got it real low, I just had to wait a little while then the SOS went out WOOHOO!
  15. "No. To my knowledge in the Free BC3K 2.09 the game starts in debug mode to disable the CD check. This is in the bat file and has nothing to do with you pressing keys." You're right. I took out that /d1 in the BAT file and it asked for the CD. I guess there is no way around this? If the work around has already been posted, please forgive me for asking again.
  16. Ok, thanks. I just tried taking on another spacestation and I tried my hardest to get it to put out an SOS but it wouldn't. I kept blowing it up. Do some stations "not" ever put out an SOS?
  17. So you're saying that the game is automatically in debug mode when you first start playing? Is there a key I might've pressed that put it into debug mode?
  18. I had the same problem. Except I think it had something to do with putting everyone on 'off duty'. After I put them back to work, it quit crashing.
  19. I must've found it then. I've been doing a lot of cargo sweeps in debri fields. Kewl I don't even know how to go into debug mode. No need to tell me. Thanks.
  20. Good tip! I was losing ships, too. Heck, you really don't need to hardly launch any interceptors. I've been taking on every enemy ship I find just with the BC. Turrents and Vagrants kick arse.
  21. I took over that spacestation. It took me 3 tries. On the 2nd try, I fired a bunch of vagrants at it thinking it wouldn't be destroyed and then I saw an SOS so I docked in it. Well, as soon as I left it, it went BOOM! lol. I guess those missles have some sort of AI in them and they waited till I left hehe. Anyway, the 3rd try was easy. Thanks for the tips There is one thing I am wondering. On the left side of the screen, there is something that says HPD (I think that's what it says, I have a small monitor) and when I click it, I can go directly to any system anywhere without actually flying there. I thought this was kinda odd. Did I find some kind of special hyperdrive that can zip me anywhere in the universe? It's almost too easy and takes the fun out of having to fly to places.
  22. Knowing my luck, I would board it and it would blow up LOL!
  23. I made over 1 billion credits in one day just trading between Earth and Pluto (deflector arrays). It was real easy. Only one jump. And you don't even have to fly to the station. Just get in the sector, target the station, press ALT D and you're in. I tried taking on that enemy station again. This time my nuclear core bit the dust and I didn't have a housing core :- All my peeps got radiated LOL. They were tired as hell (100%) and wanted to evacuate BAD LOLOL! I thought it was the end of me but then my solar panels kicked in and gave me enough juice to get back to HQ. It was too much of a pain to have to wait for everyone to rest so I just restored my last saved game before I took the station on. I lost all those experience points, though. It sure is fun trying. I'll get that sucka. If I remember correctly, all I have to do is board the station to take over it right? One more question, what is the diffence between AI and Direct for autopilot? They seem to do the exact same thing.
  24. Ok, thank you. Man, I tried taking on an enemy Spacestation today. Boy did I get my ass kicked lol. I don't even think I scratched that thing. I had all my interceptors and my BC loaded with Vagrants but to no avail... It was fun trying, though
  25. Thanks for the tips guys. But I have a major problem now. I know there isn't any support for this game but maybe someone might know how to alleviate this. My problem is the game keeps closing. It closes and goes to windows all by itself. I have it saved with most of my crew on off-duty because a lot were tired (after colliding with another ship while in route to a jump station) so I have my Battlecruiser set to defend the Galcom Spacestation so it just flies around. Well, after a few minutes, the game closes. I don't have a clue why. I have tried loading it back and it seems to close around the same time. I even reseted my pc thinking it was windows doing it. Here are my specs: 600 Celeron 128mb pc100 SDRAM W98se Voodoo 3 2000 PCI no sound card (uses a Crystal Labs sound chip and midi is disabled) Any help would be MOST appreciated.
