GCV-Invader-personal quarters
Commander Elio Jason leaned back in his comfortable chair. It had been a typical day on the route from Sol to Majoris. He knew there was trouble there, there was always trouble. He was to return to GalcomHQ to be assigned another mission. To be on the safe side he had the GCV Invader's shields raised to avoid an attack on the ship."Let's see what that station Tulon is doing."He got up and went to the bridge. When he arrived everyone was ready, all of them at there stations."How long til we get to the jump gate?" "30 seconds and counting sir." the navigations officer reported."Keep me notified." "Yes sir!" And so he went to his station. "We are approaching the jump gate sir."the navigations officer reported. Then the screen flashed and they were at Xylan."Any enemys on the radar?"he asked the tactical officer."None yet si-" The sentence was cut off from the ship suddenly rocking."We have been hit! 2 Analog misisles from those ships."he told him that there were 4 ships. 1 Sunflash,1 Solnar,and 2 fighters. "Turn on the PTA system and have the interceptors attack those fighters. Also get a lock with 4 analog missile on the Sentry and Solnar. 2 to the Sentry and 2 to the Solnar." "Aye sir."the tactical officer said. The GCV-Invader's speed increased to 100% thrust speed and Elio saw 4 missiles launch to their targets. Nearly the same time the GCV-Invader's turrets fired at the Sentry and Solnar. Elio could see the shields on the ships weakening fast. Suddenly the ship was rocked and it had been hit by lasers. It was being continuely pummeled."Take evasive action!!!"he yelled. They did so and the GCV-Invader's weapons fired at the Sentry and Solnar that were firing at them. Suddenly the 2 ships exploded."What the?"He then was notified that the 2 fighters were down."That was easy. Must be a decoy. Notify the interceptors to be alert." "Yes sir"the comms officer said. Elio was right. It was a decoy. Behind them a bigger and more powerful ship had just went through the jump gate. An Insurgent Stormcarrier. " Insurgent Stormcarrier to the aft!!" the tactical officer yelled. He knew his ship was no match for the Stormcarrier but the ship was gaining fast."Keep the PTA system on!!"he yelled again. The Insurgent Stormcarrier was still gaining and the turrents were firing potshots at it, lowering it's shields a little here and there. "Get us to that jump gate now!!"and suddenly the GCV-Invader got to the jumpgate and passed through it. Supposedly clear. They were now at Arima. Were the Tulon station was. "Bad news sir." reported the tactical officer. "There is another Stormcarrier. This one also Insurgent. Uh-oh the other Stormcarrier we tackeled has just gotten through the jump gate."Elio knew exactly what it was now. A trap. "It's a trap."he said in an unusually calm voice. "Put the engines at 100% thrust. Evasive maunevers and put cloak on my signal." the crew did as they were told and the GCV-Invader dived with it's turrents firing potshots at the Stormcarriers. Now the Stormcarriers were in formation. "Get us to the next jump point now!!"he said. the GCV-Invader jumped suddenly and arrived at the jump gate. To find it blocked by the Tulon station's fighters. "Fire at will!!"he screamed and many shots were fired at the fighters, throwing them in directions. Suddenly the 2 Stormcarriers were behind them. "Make an approach on the Stormcarriers. We want them to crash into each other." " Sir the navitron computer has been damaged. Might take a while to fix it. Shields are weakening fast." "Well so much for that." Elio looked at the screen to see the planet Arima now. "Hit cloak" he ordered. "and get us on the surface of Arima. When we are at the surface disengage the cloak and we will set down for repairs." "Looks like we will be staying around here longer then I suspected." he added.
