  1. Please accept my resignation from Orion. I have already altered my sig accordingly. I wish I had the time to continue in the fleets, but my RL isn't so flexible right now. Maybe in the future.
  2. quote: Pah! I'm going bald too. Good thing I usually keep my hair cut low. I was due for a hair cut (which I had this past weekend), so my bald spot is a little prominent in one of those shots. Shave it off SC!!! It will add to your mystique. Just an off-topic side note: My mom started chemotherapy for breast cancer four weeks ago. Rather than waiting for her hair to fall out, she grabbed the razor and shaved her head. She told me the stubble started coming out last week, but she just shrugged it off as "oh well." She's one tough lady.
  3. Got my manual and keyboard today. Now when can I get a t-shirt? I'd love one with a BCM/UC logo.
  4. Greg!!! How are you doing partner?
  5. I'm so sorry Jag. My dog Taffy passed away in 2001 and I still think of her everyday. I still keep her picture up at home, work, and in my wallet. She was my constant companion for fourteen years. I'm not saying you'll get over her but it will get better with time. I kept Taffy's favorite blanket and still keep it on our bed. In some ways it's like there still a part of her with me. We had one cat when Taffy passed on. I knew I wasn't ready for another dog. I was donating her food to the local SPCA and ended up adopting two more cats (siblings) who were on "death row." Another two strays later and we now have quite the brood. In some ways, Taffy is the cats' guardian angel because they never would have had the pampered life they lead now without the love she inspired in me and my wife. Hang in there my friend.
  6. It captured the flavor of the movie. LOTS of bugs. Pretty standard run and gun (although in fairness the full version maybe completely different.) Anyone get past the crash site? I've died each time and that's on the easy setting.
  7. quote: John Carolan was sitting on his porch in the thick, humid darkness just before midnight Tuesday when three or four young men, one with a knife and another with a machete, stopped in front of his fence and pointed to the generator humming in the front yard, he said. One said, "We want that generator," he recalled. "I fired a couple of rounds over their heads with a .357 Magnum," Mr. Carolan recounted Wednesday. "They scattered." Rule # 1: Never bring a knife to a gun fight. Frakking scumbags.
  8. I didn't know it was out yet. I'll try it this weekend.
  9. Right with you boss. My wife and I are ready for any such circumstances. In fact, she's a better shot than me (and never lets me forget it.)
  10. This situation is beginning to resemble Lucifier's Hammer meets The Stand. It's incomprehesible.
  11. Don't we have a $100 signup fee that's split among existing members?
  12. Wow. Some people have pure venom running through their veins. You know a thread's irretrievable when they resort to the Nazism/facism argument. You've got much more patience than me Kal.
  13. Got my copy today via BMT. The game installed no sweat and is running smooth as silk. The graphics are great and the models are gorgeous. The new effects for hyperjumps and explosions are very cool. The sounds seem less harsh to me and much more immersive. This may sound silly, but my favorite game change so far is the subtle flash when ships warp into your sector. That's a nice touch that heightens my awareness of what's around me. Kudos to you and your team SC. It's going to be a great weekend.
