First of all I just registured, but I put down Kain Blackthorne as my login name, which of course is wrong. My login name is KhalaRae. Sorry. On to my problem. I'm not sure if I am just not seeing something, but I'm having trouble using my joystick in the game. I read the entire manual, I read the FAQ, set my Presicion 2 controller ID to 1, and yet my Microsoft Presicion 2 joystick will not respond in the game. Infact, the only way I can get any response out of my joystick is to program the keybaord keys (Button 1 Fire = Enter) into the sidewinder profiles. However, my rudder, twisting action, and even regular x/y movement axis do not respond. Now here is the kicker, my other gamepad, Microsoft Game Pad Pro, DOES work. Turning, buttons, everything. RTFM?!?! I already did and changing the Z-buffer does not solve the problem.

I have "Public Version : v2.2.09.02" of BCM. My computer runs on Windows Me, 128 MB RAM, AMD Athlon 800mhz, Visiontek Geforce2 GTS 64mb card with the newest Detonator drivers, DirectX 8.0, and my motherboard is a Jabil Kadoka(gateway sure has weird parts). Also, I received this version of BCM off the July CD of Computer Gaming World Magazine. When I start the BCM executable, the game changes my resolution and loads up a black screen. Then it crashes back to the desktop. What can I do about it?

Well my friend just let me borrow Freespace, Freespace 2, Descent3, Escape for Monkey Island, and Battlezone. I've been busy playing those games. So my time divides like this: School 30% Wrestling Practice 10% Girlfriend 20% Sleep 30% Playing my games 5% Homework 5% Extra Freetime 0% Maybe I should cut back on school and sleep so I have more free time. J/K
