  1. sorry boss. I'm still pretty new though so i dont really know anyone yet. but i wont shirk my duty so i'll do my best to recruit
  2. Urza, if you like I can work on a pegasus wing image. I cant give you a date but i could have it done in a week or so.
  3. A destrier is a medieval calvary unit, a warhorse. as far as i know anyway. you'd have to ask the dude that made up the names. Any comments from the ISS?May I use the destrier image as the official wing image? [ 11-09-2001: Message edited by: buckthesystem ]
  4. for your viewing pleasure! I spent my mornig on these two. the first is a proposed destrier wing sig image and the second is a personal ship logo. -RVS- Edit:I changed the wing logo in accorrdance with the new fleet logo [ 11-12-2001: Message edited by: buckthesystem ]
  5. silly me, i should have checked the other threads! [ 11-07-2001: Message edited by: buckthesystem ]
  6. goodstuff jerold, i see you took my advice and put the sig files on nova's site. Thnx nova. just one thing.... share the links brutha! you know what i'm saying? (i copied and pasted the link but got an access denied message)
  7. quote:My job security and hence my internet access is looking rather shakey ok my job is secure for now, i know i never really left, but i'm back for now, i'll make a plan to stay active if i loose my job. i got an isp at home now so while i may not be as active (if i'm jobless) i'll still be poking my head in every now and then.
  8. I propose we take Nova up on his offer to host the images on his site. Look, we dont have the means to host them ourselves so why not take up his offer? I have some space with my isp that is going to waste at the moment, you can use that if you want. What about other ISS members surely there is a lot of isp webspace going unused by them that would suit our site needs perfectly.
  9. quote:Hey Reiner, i'm trying out that freeserver1 site you suggested lets see if they allow me to put my images in this forum Sorry man i cant see it. What i would do if i was you, is instead of putting the images in the files section, put them on an arbitary html page (that requires no logging in/registering to access) on the site like these have been done.
  10. quote:Any suggestions for a free web hostiing service that doesn't display a thouand banners and doesn't mess up frames? http://zap.to/1freewebpage/ there is a nice list of services to choose from here. http://www.1freespace.com/ also looks good.
  11. lol!, no prob RVS is fine. You can call me Reiner if you like.
  12. 'K thanks for clearing that up for me. btw I know/can learn a little html so if you have any stuff for the site that you'd like done or don't have time for, i'm available to help out.
  13. guys which is the ISS website? there are 3 that I know of. Which should I be visiting for updates and things? http://www.geocities.com/timessquare/arena.../iss/index.html http://www.geocities.com/jeroldkeenan/INDEX.NS.HTML http://www.crosswinds.net/~issfleet (this one doesn't work so i assume its out of the contest)
  14. quote:quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Advil posted on 10-23-2001 "Diplomacy is the art of letting someone have your way." - By any means necessary - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think the quote you want is this quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice doggie" until you can find a rock - Will Rogers (1879-1935) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hehe never heard those versions, my favourite version is quote:" Diplomacy is telling someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip" when mp comes out i'll be very diplomatic with the gamms.
  15. well as per subject. My job security and hence my internet access is looking rather shakey, I may well be off the forums for some time. I can be contacted at [email protected]. Jerold, may be a good idea to update as such in the DB. I'll re-register on the mailing list with my yahoo address. Thanks guys, I hope to see you all again soon!
  16. hehe, yeah even more unsupported than bc3000ad in fact, windows xp gets more support here!
  17. Instead of starting a new topic, i'll post this here... as of november 1st it looks like i may be unemployed, so my e-mail address (ie my work one that i use on the forum) will no longer be active. i know it's not regulation but would it be at all possible to change my e-mail adress on the forums to my yahoo one? I'm not a shady character I promise! *puppy eyes* looking in the C.A.T. direction *puppy eyes*
  18. quote:hi, where did you got this bc3kwin patch ? It' s not on the bc3000 web site. Cheers. Firstly, I cannot even begin to describe how unsupported that patch is. So be careful about posting issues you may have with it. Secondly, You will find it in a zipped file called bc3kwin in your bc3000ad install folder. (assuming you are running the free downloadable v2.08 version)
  19. quote:The engineers are reporting ANOTHER Problem... maybe they're using a Radeon in the main computer...........
  20. Darwin used to the term evolution to describe the change brought about by natural selection. Darwin considered this change to be constant and gradual. It has later been shown (by Gould and Dawkins) that evolution in fact works in spurts. it's a case of survival of the fittest. Natural selection pressure dictates the rate of evolution. Natural disasters create pressure. Man has no pressure to evolve because man can change his surroundings to his suitings, he can nullify selection pressure.
  21. well here goes with my first log... [rp] COMMANDERS LOG: Reiner von Schaffen GCV Orpheus, ISS FLEET, Destrier Wing TIME: 14:30:25 06/12/10 Ship Status: Shields: 100% Hull: 100% Condition: Green ---START ENTRY--- It's been a rough month. At the beginning of it I was a Flight Leader on the Orpheus, now I'm the Commander. I was pleased to see the Orpheus again 2 weeks ago, I thought I'd never see her after Mars. I've been on O.P. all week. There is nothing more tiring than a week of Offensive Patrols. The old bird pulled through though, We got 2 Insurgent cruisers, 3 fighters and 2 Gammulan scouts. The Gammulans worry me, they've been jacking up their operations in this sector. I think another war is coming. I remember how brutal they were back on Alpha Cygni/LV103. I'll never forget. Now as a Galcom officer I'll do my part to ensure Alpha Cygni never happens again. ---END ENTRY--- [/rp] well there's my log!
  22. [rp] quote:You have been assigend to a wing , are you happy with this? Yes, Sir quote:What do you offer the iss? I offer my skills as a commander, my abilities as a leader, my faith in your leadership and my loyalty as a Galcom officer. quote:What do you expect from the iss? To be led by example and to be respected as an officer [/rp]
  23. [rp] Sir, I apologise, i sometimes get carried away with the mess room trash talk. I apologise to anyone offended, that was not my intention. Prime is almost .. er.. just as good as ISS! [/rp]
  24. "Commander von Schaffen reporting for duty, sir!"
  25. hehehe this rp is fun. [rp] quote:raise those hands up high in salute Sure thing, with all due respect, there is only one "salute" Prime cowboys will get from me, it's an easy salute, it only uses one finger. [/rp] LOL! [ 10-21-2001: Message edited by: buckthesystem ]
