Hmmm, Couldn't design a game to save his life Them's fightin words I agree, he never read the manual, it took a cement head like myself , 4 times at least to read though manual, plus the Doc's, and I'm still going back to manual to check stuff that I'm unsure of, and when all else fails, I check these forums, which all will be answered here He should blow it out his arse, prolly get better results

If you don't mind me asking SC, what video card are you running in your XP system?

SC, would it be helpfull, If I zipped up and sent you a saved game? The restore from this seems to work, but persistant CTD's after this The CTD's started, after I was destroyed,alt Q, just before actually vaporizing and than restored to a earlier point, everything was great till this point, BCM ran for over a hour and half at least without a CTD

Still CTDS, seems after I get toasted, runs an hour , than after being destroyed because of something stupid on my part, try to restore from saved, it seems to ctd at hyperspace jump point Gonna download DX 8.1, thought I read XP came with 8.1, dunno, they've moved the folder from program files EDIT , It say's XP, comes with DX8.1, confirmed Anyone think the TNT2 card is problem? I have 21.83 nvidia drivers loaded, these are whats said to be corrrect drivers for card I've had this video card for about 2 years I read that XP likes 64 bit video, the TNT2 is unable to support this Time for new video card? Thank you SC for reply I've made mental note,from now on not to toy with computers when drinking,lol Ended up reformating, lol, prolly unnessary, ohh well think maybe video issue, after actually reading info on nvidia site, I see I may have been using wrong drivers for TNT2, running under XP, gonna try 21.81 drivers, these are uncertified, but who cares as long as they work Also two other game quit working, when newest XP Detonator drivers installed, my oldest son has been home lately, I hate when he uses this system, never know what he does on it Cripes'in porn sites, he visits,told him ever again, he'll have a heck of a time typing with broken fingers, I have no virus scanner as of yet for XP, could have been problem also, I'll see want happens now Again Thankyou

Greetings all I am having big time troubles with CTD's Game seems to run fine load up start, but anywhere from 5 minutes to 60 minutes game crashes to desk top System specs XP operating system, with all updates DX8.1 ASUS 440BX MB, Bios vers, unsure, will load lastest tonight 650 coppermine cpu TNT2 32 meg video card, nidia drivers 21.83, I have tried the newest 23.11 drivers no differance sound blaster live sound card all operating system hardware, supported and running fine under XP windows I am attempting to run 1.0.04 rc1 Would it be good idea to go back to 1.0.03 vers of BCM? Very frustrating ( Any help or suggestions, would help

Can jump gates be damaged?, and made unusable If so repair time estimates?

Can see I'll be posting here alot Installed BCM, and update patch, everthing seems fine,so far ,XPWindows, TNT2 plus video card, all default XPdrivers with DX 8.1 gonna read manual now, LOL, Learning curve here, can't wait for mutlionline server Good luck Commanders

Thankyou for replies Hmmm mouse drivers , never thought of that optic microsoft mouse, and the sound blaster SB live, still , may not work? I'll try I guess, see what happen's,don't think you can hurt XP Windows , so far, its a real bugger to get rid of, and be adviced, when installing, XP to any system, format it under your old operating system, than install XP Had a problem that it installed to second harddrive, a 3.2 gig,have one start up command problem now, it thinks XP installed on both drives, did not want to overwrite win98se,that was on good 20 gig drive At start up now, it asks if I want to run XP Windows, or XP Windows , go figure, a reformat of both drives, or at least main drive, is needed to get rid of this

With Battlecruiser 3000AD, will it run under Windows XP, I bought Battlecruiser 3000AD , when it first came out, and never have played it It seemed a real big learning curve to play tonnes of key commands I always had a Diamond monster sound mmx200 which is the reason I never tried to get it running ,no sound the above card would not play dos programs just recently installed a SB live card, DX8 compatiable Do you think its worth the time to download all the patches, install BC3000AD And play?
