This is the official roster of all Commanders submitted prior to 6/99. It is dated, so we can add new Commanders at will. Vorpal, I have the orginal Roster pulled from this site back in June of last year, I also have the same list converted to excel. Both are easy to search for duplicate names. One thing you should realize is that if you pick a name today (like the hundreds already on the roster) and you disappear for a year, your vessel name may have been taken when the sim is released. As Derek posted, it is on a first come first serve basis. The orginal roster probably contains quite a few entries from people who came to this site a couple of times and register a vessel, and have never been seen again. Those vessels will be purged when the fun begins and the names would then become available. I will see how a cut and paste looks on a post, this will give you the ability to search through what has been taken in the past.

Unforunately Commander Saito Miyamoto, At this point all the factors you desire to see, will not become available until the product is released. Anyone here can pencil in whatever kind of character they want. The true test will be when they come face to face with another opposing vessel. Even an attempt to use factors based on the orginal BC3K are useless when pitted against a real player. So if you are truely going to make an attempt to use the factors you named, enlisting into any fleet based only on words presented by people you do not know is pointless. Lastly - Don't spill your beer on your keyboard, it make raising shields in interesting task

That is my ruling. So, next time you post, you should be using UCV-DARK RIFT (Raider) in your sig. You can change the caste to anything you like (other than GALCOM, Earthcom, Military, Insurgent, Diplomat, Police) I only used Raider as an example. There is a new Mercenary caste in BC:3020AD anyway, so, you can use that now if you like. Yes, I just made that whole UCV thing up as I was typing it and have updated the BC:3020AD manuscript accordingly. Anyone not belonging to a fleet, can use this and select any caste they like. You will be able to do the same thing in multiplayer anyway. Supreme Commander D. Smart GCV-Warmonger GALCOM First Fleet ------ And until BC:3020AD is released, there won't be any new fleets or race/castes created. Any commander not belonging to a registered fleet should use the UCV designation until further notice. Once BC:3020AD+mp are out, I will have a dedicated and redesigned fleet page here. The BC3K universe is not a free for all. I will later allow the creation of new fleets but with specific designations, rules etc which augment what DeSylva already has. So, if MechWarrior wants to create a Raider Fleet (he won't be allowed to), he will have to demonstrate leadership etc. In fact, now that I think about it, for new official fleets, I will list them all, including the allowed race/caste affiliations, have people enroll and then pick a leader based on some criteria that I will cook up in my sleep. All the fleet leaders here, did not spring up over night. They are dedicated vets who know the game and its universe inside out. They are leaders. It would be insulting to have some upstart just spring up overnight and form a fleet. All the fleet leaders here are official testers and therefore, I will work with them in constructing a criteria for creating new fleets, assigning stations, wings etc, when the time comes. For now, DeSylva, Spcfx, Akira, Tac etc, why don't you guys send me a proposal for the new fleets with a diverse selection of race/caste affiliations? ---- Also, the term clan, is hereby outlawed in this universe. Fleets, Squadrons and Wings, are the norm and this is the structure that should be used.

Thomas, I have a couple sites available (The free ones), and every Prime Fleet member has the ability to harness some additional space as needed. Let me know what you have in mind and I'll allocate some time for it. In fact I'll grab one this evening and send you the site password, so you can upload items as you see fit. I think some people have the wrong idea. I do not believe Derek will incorporate a different logo for every individual ship owned by each Commander, just for the major fleet Wings

Thanks Derek and Gum - got them both . One more question. What will all these rank issues be used for in-game (did I miss some critical threads) or are they just RPing items. If Commander Newbie enters a server he will still start off as a "Commander" and depending on his caste selection, be given a ship related to his caste. If I am still on track, will he/she than obtain rank through point accumulation.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The weekend has successfully passed with no new commentary in regards to the Orion Fleet Leader position. Unless someone feels this matter should remain open a bit longer, I suggest we open the voting. If we can not conclude the voting by Sunday, 10/18 - I will be unable to host the election due to previous obligations which will briefly remove my abilty to collect and forward the Email ballots. Rattler, I know - I've already setup an Email filter for the two confirmed nominees, if anymore become available I will add a filter for them. Once the nominee selection is over, I was going to post a new topic with the heading "Vote here for the Orion Fleet Leader Now". The canidates and voting instruction would be displayed along with an Email link. Any items I recieve will be filtered and automatically forwarded to you. (yes) there is the possibility that someone will fail to following the instructions, I'll deal with them on a case to case basis and will let you know of each. The rest of the project consist of checking that the voter is registered and to tally up the numbers.
