well ya, WIN+F brings up find files dialog WIN+R brings up the RUN menu. Lots of usefull little things for that key.

I was hoping for an easy way, just to disable it in BCM, not in all of windows

Lol that's not quite what i meant guess there's no way to do it then huh?

Is there a way to disable the windows key while playing BCM? There have been a couple times when I accidently hit it and it boots me out to my desktop. Thanks

I've installed those drivers, and checked to make sure they match. I went in and restored a saved game a few times sucessfully. Hopefully that was it. Thanks a ton.

Those are the drivers that came with the sblive winxp cd, and I have already checked my hard drive for errors, both in files and on the physical surface. Here is what I did just a minute ago and recreated the problem, I haven't reloaded yet to see if the save files are gone yet or not. Start new game, Play for 2 minutes, save & exit (calling the game SAVED GAME) Restore, works fine for several minutes. Exit Game, Restore (same game as before with out having resaved it) Locks up almost immediately after putting me on the bridge. I checked the save dirrectory in the BCM folder, and the only file there is Player.txt I bet my saves are gone again. [ 03-13-2002, 17:06: Message edited by: LordBane ]

Here's an issue I've run into. While playing BCM, before I finish off a space station, I go and save incase I accidentally destroy it instead of disabling it. When I go and restore the saved file, some times it works, most of the time it locks up my system. Upon rebooting, and starting up BCM, my saved information is gone, My AE isn't even shown in the list, and clicking resume, takes me to make a new AE. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Those are the proper drivers, the updated ones from microsoft's update site. The 23.12 drivers are crap - though better than the official WHQL 23.11. Whenever I go to the M$ update site, they still hawk the 15.20 at me, which I promptly ignore. As I stated before, either the XP 27.42, XP 27.51, or the XP 27.70 leaked drivers are better - YMMV. Here's the problem I'm running into. I'll be playing BCM, and after an hour or two, when I go to change screens, go from the bridge to the perscan screen for example, the game kicks me back to the desktop. I don't have any problem going from screen to screen untill it does this. I downloaded the lastest patch, and that did not fix it. It's not the mouse issue I read on here about, at least I don't think so, because in the example above I had used ALT+P to switch screens. Thanks.
