  1. Thanks to Shingen's input, we can move this one now I think.
  2. Just a quick word to let you guys know that the next UC patch is forthcoming very soon. I hadn't released it because the past month has been spent working on ucHTL issues which are common with UC. As such, I had to do a ton of code merging so that whatever is resolved in UC, is reflected in UC since they share some common code modules.
  3. I wish them luck. They're gonna need it.
  4. My post meant, "...no way in hell am I reading that"

Tips, Tricks & Techniques Have a gameplay tip or technique? Share it or be assimilated! Looking for a gameplay tip? This is the right place to look. and, BTW, the word you were looking for while you were slobering all over your keyboard during your dressing me down was "Forum", not thread. If you are gonna dot my i's please cross your t's. If you read and understood what I wrote in that description, you would know that the thread is for posting and reading about tips. Not for REQUESTING tips. For that, we have this forum where what you asked about has been discussed in no less than eight or nine threads. The forum has a search function, USE IT. quote: Originally posted by Wolfheart: quote:Originally posted by Enigma: Tinjaw, the Supreme Cmdr is the man who made UC, he can say, post or do as he pleases on his forum. if you want to stay here long dont insult him I hope this wont be the first post a newcomer reads,as it would make him too scared to post anything.Relax a bit man,we are not in detention camp,Im sure SC wont be pissed of(let alone ban him or something) by a reply with a little bit of humor in it. I agree. Post removed. The point of the people posting in the correct forums is so that newcomers find stuff easily and so that the forum search function comes up with fewer false positives. This forum has been running since 1998 and all posts are here. Imagine have to dreg through four years of posts - mostly false positives - because some people refuse to abide by the posting rules. These rules were implemented for a reason. They work. They are not meant to be broken. By anyone. quote: Originally posted by Tinjaw: So, there, that shows the SC made even another mistake. He should have deleted my thread as redundant instead of moving it. I made the decision not to delete it because your date of registration indicates that you are as Green as a leaf and I didn't want you to hurt yourself trying to figure out why your post was deleted. At least the next time you do this - and your post automagically disappears, you won't be guessing why.
  6. quote: Originally posted by Scrivener: The fact that it's being advertised as a thriller/horror dosn't help one iota. Yes. Its called false advertising. quote: This is a movie about love, hope, and overcoming great obstacles in the name of good.I went to see a thriller/horror because they pitched me on a thriller/horror. If I wanted to see a love story, I'd have stayed home, cuddled up next to the loved one, thumb in my mouth, and watched any number of stupid crap I'm supposed to be watching in the name of love. I heard there was some sort of revolt at a local theatre over this movie. I'm not in the least bit surprised. I hope it tanks at the box office.

  8. Its in the FAQ. Please read it. And please fix your sig while you're at it.
  9. Look in the forum here for what? Neither the manual nor the keyboard sheet are available for download; and won't be.
  10. quote: Originally posted by TheCatKing: I just bought Battle Cruiser Millenium Gold edition 2 days ago. I bought it in a WalMart, the user manual is in french which is ok, but the problem is that the pages about Key Commands are for a french keyboard. My keyboard is a Microsoft 101/102 standard so in game there is a lot of things i cant do because i have no way to know what key commands to use. Im talking about the User Manual ( gameplay commands ) page 49 and 50. These pages contains the keyborad/mouse/joystick commands designed for a french keyboard. As an example, in the Manual it says I have to press "à" to stop throttle while in flight mode, so the problem is that to get such a letter I need to use ascii codes ( alt+133 ) because I have an english standard keyboard. anyone have a solution or a tip ?? I saw an email to sent to the biz address and you were told IIRC to return the game for an exchange at the store or contact Dreamcatcher. There is NOTHING we can do about this. Since you are in Canada, apparently Dreamcatcher released English and French versions of the game.
  11. Awesome!! Go see it. Though they strayed a bit from the original, they didn't screw this one up. I plan on seeing it again. 9/10
  12. Let me put it bluntly, if you're not pissed by the time this move ends, you're a better man than I. See the movie, then you'll probably enjoy my score. I have NEVER felt like a complete and utter tit before. Yes ladies, we've ALL been had and this damn movie is NOT what you think it is. I hope it flops. 1/10
  13. Whats there to explain? Their stats is cummulatively stored; just like a saved game.
  14. The DirectX 9.0c runtime has been released. You are all advised to upgrade to this version asap in order to alleviate issues with current and future versions of our games.
  15. Enough already guys.
  16. Looks like Creative was strongarming iD over their use of a particularly nifty shadowing technique. There is an on-going thread about it over here on B3D.
  17. I don't do cut scenes. Never have. Never will. The one and only time a movie ever appeared in my games, is the intro movie that Take Two had done for BC3K.
  18. Oh man. I'm not sure if I should laugh or frown. Can I get some help here?

  20. ** Chicago Cubs outfielder Andre Dawson on being a role model: "I wan' all dem kids to do what I do, to look up to me. I wan' all the kids to copulate me." ** New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming season: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first." ** And, upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skins say: "I'd run over my own mother to win the Super Bowl." Matt Millen of the Raiders said: "To win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too." ** Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John Jenkins: "He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings." ** Football commentator and former player Joe Theismann, 1996: "Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein." ** Senior basketball player at the University of Pittsburgh: "I'm going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes." (now that is beautiful) ** Bill Peterson, a Florida State football coach: "You guys line up alphabetically by height." And, "You guys pair up in groups of three, then line up in a circle." ** Boxing promoter Dan Duva on Mike Tyson hooking up again with promoter Don King: "Why would anyone expect him to come out smarter? He went to prison for three years, not Princeton." ** Lou Duva, veteran boxing trainer, on the Spartan training regime of heavyweight Andrew Golota: "He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning regardless of what time it is." ** Chuck Nevitt, North Carolina State basketball player, explaining to Coach Jim Valvano why he appeared nervous at practice: "My sister's expecting a baby, and I don't know if I'm going to be an uncle or an aunt." ** Frank Layden, Utah Jazz president, on a former player: "I told him, 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, "Coach, I don't know and I don't care."
  21. No, its all factual actually and not a joke.

  23. *moved* The next fool who creates a non-tech related topic in the tech support section, is getting temp banned. I've just deleted two threads and moved one.
  24. Hello. My name is John Kerry and I'm running for President, I think. Please consider my qualifications as set forth in the following resum├®. Resum├® of JOHN F. KERRY RESIDENCE(S): Seven mansions, some in Washington DC, worth multi-millions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no post-graduate education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A Military: I used three minor injuries to get three Purple Hearts and an early discharge from the military and service in Vietnam after 139 days. I then returned to the US, joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers. I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My book "Vietnam Veterans against the War: The New Soldier," which I had pulled from print, shows how I truly feel about the military. PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for U.S.Congress and have been there ever since. As the voters in Massachusetts can attest, in my 32 years, not a single piece of legislation bears my name. I have no real world experience except for marrying a rich woman and running HJ Heinz vicariously through my wife Teresa. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS US SENATOR: I set the record for the most liberal voting record in the Senate, exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against budgets, thus gutting our country's ability to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted in favor of every liberal piece of legislation that came along. I have no real plan to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected. I make practically no charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in MA, despite family wealth in excess of $700 million. I voted to cut funding for every law enforcement, CIA and defense bill in my career as a US Senator. I ordered the City of Boston to remove an "unsightly" fire hydrant in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire. Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts. RECORDS AND REFERENCES: None. PERSONAL My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I ride a Serotta bicycle ($6500). My Gulfstream V Jet ($43,000,000) I call "The Flying Squirrel." I named my $850,000 42 foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scaramouche. I don't own any SUVs but my family does, including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large, polluting, inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for the energy problems. I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and you had better listen to it and learn to like it as it reflects our real culture. PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004
