  1. Hello. My name is John Kerry and I'm running for President, I think. Please consider my qualifications as set forth in the following resum├®. Resum├® of JOHN F. KERRY RESIDENCE(S): Seven mansions, some in Washington DC, worth multi-millions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no post-graduate education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A Military: I used three minor injuries to get three Purple Hearts and an early discharge from the military and service in Vietnam after 139 days. I then returned to the US, joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers. I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My book "Vietnam Veterans against the War: The New Soldier," which I had pulled from print, shows how I truly feel about the military. PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for U.S.Congress and have been there ever since. As the voters in Massachusetts can attest, in my 32 years, not a single piece of legislation bears my name. I have no real world experience except for marrying a rich woman and running HJ Heinz vicariously through my wife Teresa. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS US SENATOR: I set the record for the most liberal voting record in the Senate, exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against budgets, thus gutting our country's ability to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted in favor of every liberal piece of legislation that came along. I have no real plan to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected. I make practically no charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in MA, despite family wealth in excess of $700 million. I voted to cut funding for every law enforcement, CIA and defense bill in my career as a US Senator. I ordered the City of Boston to remove an "unsightly" fire hydrant in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire. Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts. RECORDS AND REFERENCES: None. PERSONAL My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I ride a Serotta bicycle ($6500). My Gulfstream V Jet ($43,000,000) I call "The Flying Squirrel." I named my $850,000 42 foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scaramouche. I don't own any SUVs but my family does, including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large, polluting, inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for the energy problems. I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and you had better listen to it and learn to like it as it reflects our real culture. PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004
  2. I just saw on CNN that Michael Chicklis is going to be playing The Thing. Not sure if its a stand alone movie or The Thing from The Fantastic Four.
  3. Wait'll you guys see this. These Freespace fanbois have far too much time on their hands.

  5. I had to!! Lets put it this way, apart from the two gorgeous women and of course Ben Brat, this movie is just pure mediocre, campy and somewhat cheesy in too many parts. The Klaus Baldet sound track in top notch (this is Klaus we're talking about) and the acting is so-so, but there's just so many things wrong with this movie, in a Daredevil kinda way. Only go see it if one of the following applies to you. You're a fan of either of three principle actors Your significant other doesn't mind you staring at Halle's a$$ for the good part of 30 mins. You're bored You just had to You can't wait for the VHS or DVD You already saw The Bourne Supremacy, Spiderman 2, King Arthur and I, Robot, 6/10
  6. I can't wait for the third season.
  7. quote: Originally posted by Takvah: I look for Bourne to become the reluctant CIA asset in the future.... what do you guys think? Later Well considering that this second movie isn't ANYWHERE close to the actual book, I'm looking forward to them totally ****ing up the third book (it is a trilogy and I've read all three) in two years or so when they release The Bourne Ultimatum. Goddamn Hollywood; why can't they just not mess with excellent source material?
  8. Very, very impressive review Takvah. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Now that I think about it, my one disappointment is that Bourne didn't get to do hand-to-hand with Karl Urban. I was sooooo looking forward to that and was ultimately very disappointed. I haven't even seen Catwoman yet; so I guess I can also be blamed for that one being a flop.
  9. It must be on limited released. I have GOT to see this cut!!!
  10. Man, you guys must be bored.
  11. The best way to watch the universe at work is to start a new Roam profile and not do anything except use probes launched into various regions, then observe those regions over time.
  12. Went to see this yesterday. Its a lot like the first, but not. Still has the intrigue and its not over the top like the James Bond spy movies. However, I came away thinking that something was missing and not quite right with this new one. Dunno what. I do plan on seeing it again however but I think its going to have a hard time topping the $120m gross of the first one. 8/10
  13. Damnit it, its my forum and I can double - triple even - post if I want to.
  14. New detailed post and a surprise (!) link.

Meaning, everyone will be left guessing wtf I'm up to. Right up to the point where I announce that I'm developing it for the Atari system.ROFLMAO Derek. I know you're serious, but jesus that cracked me up. Atari...heheh. hehe

I will then post it on my website in PDF format. If you approve of it after you download and check it out, I would gladly have you host it on 3000ad.com and save me the bandwith if it proves popular. Is the manual appendix in 2.00.11 the most current data available? I believe that is what I have. Great! And yeah, I don't envision any further changes to the appendix in 2.00.11
  17. The reason I pulled the previous printer friendly version is because it is out of date. If it gets updated to reflect the current (and final) state of the appendices, I will be glad to host it.
  18. You have no business messing around in the saved game files. And I think the reason it says quick save (when it probably isn't), has already been discussed. All games with the 2.00.11 patch won't say that any longer. And yes, the patch will delete your saved games if they are not 2.00.00 compliant of if they contain a quick save signature. And if you moved the saved games out of the folder so that the patch doesn't get to them and you later move them back and play with them, your game will get corrupted at some point in the near future.
  19. Yeah, there was an issue with inventory items going to ludicrous numbers, but that was for stations and it is quite normal though I did end up tweaking it in an earlier patch. Whenever you see stuff like that, you definitely have a corrupt file and this mostly common if you didn't were either using quick save or a saved game from an earlier version that that patch clearly says is not compatible.
  20. What Marvin said, plus... You have active and passive radar ranges The max radar range in space is 250km and stations have a higher radar range. And I know for a FACT that you cannot be intercepted or acquired unless you are within the radar range of *something*. If this were not the case, for e.g. when you jump into regions where the jump anomaly [you emerged from] is out of the range of the station, you would be immediately intercepted. So, saying that you are engaged when you don't see anything within 1,000km is rubbish, since you have NO idea of what engaged you. Just because you don't know what engaged you, doesn't mean it wasn't valid. And then there are cloaked ships. It also works completely differently on the planet since that takes into account altitude, speed etc
  21. You have an S3 graphics card. Enough said. This has nothing to do with the game or the game browser. It has to do with your graphics card drivers or something else on your end. There is no difference between the multiplayer screen and the regular single player, apart from the amount and type of information displayed. In fact, I'm surprised that card even works as it does not meet with the minimum video card specs required for the game. And speaking of specs, please login to your profile and fix it. You have hard disk information in your memory information field etc.
  22. Sounds like somewhere along the way you either corrupted your game or you are using incompatible saved games.
