This stupid tit, after being banned, sent this. quote: Subject: Re: Re: Ban From: "David Friedman" To: [email protected] Date: Wed, 23 Jun 2004 21:28:06 +1000 Hi, Im sorry about the way i approached the tech issue which i got banned for. no one was hurt but me, i love this game and ive played it since the very first one came out years ago. I request that i be allowed back onto the forums and that my cdkey be allowed also. Im on good behaviour and i wanna get back out there... Of course, he was told that he wasn't going to be let back in. So, he re-registers as Captain_Loop, then in his sig profile, steals another user's (Meras) product registration profile as his. This was noticed by Gudihl in a now deleted thread which caught my eye this morning. Of course, I verified with Meras that it was his profile. And after doing some security checks, I discovered that it was the same fool, using different domains and ISPs. I have now deleted and banned all of them. code: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Also, going by his posts here, he obviously pirated the game, hence the reason he stole Meras's reg profile as his. I checked the registration dB and didn't find ANY entries with ANY of his emails, name etc above. So admins/mods, please start taking a close look at the profile sigs of new registrants and send me PM if you notice any discrepancies.

Besides, you're probably having driver problems. Which is not surprising to say the least. I have Thief3 running on an X800 just fine.

Fleets General Info Pinboard
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
In order to curb the influx of emails and PMs (thanks to all for voicing your opinions) I am getting about recent developments, I want to make some things perfectly clear. As far as I'm concerned, Remo, Marvin and Gordon were collectively responsible for bringing Prime fleet to what it is today. I don't recognize ANYONE else in this regard. Their efforts in running their own board, bringing n00bs up to speed, organizing training sessions etc should serve as an example to other fleet personnel - who are only now coming out of the woodwork. As such, Remo is 100% in charge of Prime, along with Marvin and Gordon as his immediate officers. As far as I am concerned, Gudihl's involvement is solely from an admin standpoint since he knows a bit more about how the fleed dB backend, the BC mythos etc all work. This means that he can be involved in any aspect of the fleets (not just Prime) in order to ensure that they are in compliance with the game mythos etc. The Prime fleet organization, rank etc, should remain as they were, given what I know now, after having looked at Remo's proposals and Gudihl's counters. That said, if you people keep bickering and cause me to keep reading emails and PMs I shouldn't, I'm going to scrap the whole thing and delete the fleet dB. Let this be the ONE and ONLY warning I give about this. To this end, I have now given Remo security level 4 (admin) access in the fleet dB. That is all. -

And there is already a thread here about the joystick throttle. quote: Also i just started the campaing, but im not sure what im supposed to be doing, is there a screen somewhere with like objectives?Read the manual. Play the tutorial. And there is already a thread about the campaign and tutorial, right here in this same forum. Not sure how you missed this and this. quote: Originally posted by Swjay: Sorry i dident read that, i did register but it said my key was already in use.. still sent me a confirmation email though. Ill do as its said. Registering for the forum and registering the game, are two COMPLETELY different things. The former allows you to post on the forum and does not require a CDKEY. The latter requires that you use the CDKEY in order to register or you will not have access to the latest patch (e.g. 2.00.11). Read this quote: Originally posted by Captain_Loop: Also you can get the manual appendix off the www.bc3000ad.com website under downloads for this game. Rubbish. The game appendix is included in the game. The version on the downloads page is for printing at Kinkos. And its not reflective of the current version, since various revisions have been made since the person put that printable version together.

An example of a pretty senseless and inconsequential rant by someone who has been sniffing battery acid for too long. It was so silly, I didn't even respond; because of the spirit in which it was written. The point I'm making is that it is all about respect and courtesy. There are several rants, malcontent (about the game, me, George Bush, those Taliban and Al Qaeda b*stards, those govt. communist tits in China, etc) but they are still here and nobody was up in arms on them. But no; these b*stards are just rude, have no respect whatsover and just think that because this is the net, its their goddamn backyard to do as they please. Stupid tits.

Remo, Gudihl is 100% correct in his post above. I am going to expect you and him to work this out and not piss around with stuff that was fine the way it was. If it ain't broke, we're not fixing it. Gudihl, please pass along my PM to Remo.

Too bad he can't read ANY of that. He's on a site wide ban and can't access any part of the 3000ad.com domain.

MP Fleet Action Tournament
Supreme Cmdr replied to Zane_Marlowe's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
I am waiting for the next person to keep taking this thread off topic. So, go on. I dare you. In fact, I double dare you. Stuff like this has a specific forum forum for it. ...but while I'm here, congrats Zane!!!! -
Yep, thats a good one.

Typical Jackie Chan farce but it is a great family film, I think. Not enough appeal though, because this movie is all over the map. But its a lot of fun....if you don't have anything else to watch. 7/10

quote: Originally posted by Remo Williams: I see the DB levels as administrative levels rather than the actual in game fleet member ranks. I may be wrong though. It depends. They were originally designed to reflect in game fleet ranks, but I also ended up using them for admin security levels. The original idea behind those ranks was so that someone's rank could be changed by the fleet leader when necessary. So, regardless of them being used for admin security, once the structure is complete, I may need to have Voltaic - once again - update the db to reflect those ranks (using a different field).

Dave, when a thread you create is deleted or closed, if you create a new one, it is a sure fine way to be banned. That said, I have deleted your other thread which contained this. quote: Originally posted by Davewave: I have added my system stats to Signature, apologies to those who died in the process. Thanx to DS bringing the best game of the two milleniums (99 to 2004). Thanks to DS for making Multiplayer working. I love this game so much, Im willing to risk a clean install of my 120GB harddrive just to get this game working. Please check to see if perhaps my stats arent compatible. Oh, And to anyone in the ICV fleet, HI! As for this thread, my first impulse was to delete it, but I'm not going to. Since an admin/mod closed it, I will once again close it. Let this thread be, yet another fine example of the crap I have to put up with. Now, do yourself a favor and get the hell off my site. You come to MY house, disrespect me, post a littany of rubbish and then think an apology is going to cut it? There is a tech support address in the game manual. Use it. Your priviledge of posting here, is hereby revoked. For eternity. ps: I traced your stats to your origin. Game programmer, huh? Stay in school,b!tch.

quote: Originally posted by street: Upon knocking the SS hull down to AROUND 200,(about 7 more shots with 10% guns) the S.O.S. is transmitted, and I decloak and do the ALT D. the "capture Y/N" appears and I push Y, and CTD. Reload the save, and can do anything I want but when I push ALT D, "CAPTURE Y/N?"...even if I hit the N ...CTD? This problem had nothing to do with the station capture. It has to do with the fact that you had a dead system engineer (guy #1) while attempting to dock with a station (in this case, Pixan). There is now an entry in the VCF regarding this issue. This is a classic example why I don't like multiple and/or off-topic issues in the same thread. Hence the reason I am creating this one.
