quote: Originally posted by LBM: Yeah, I noticed that and already posted about it else where in the the RC patch decussions. (hope that's OK SC). I've fixed it. It was accidentally removed when the AE orders menu was disabled. Until the next version, you can only evac your AE by entering your CC using the normal fp docking procedure.

I have released twenty-three new shots showing off the new terrain revisions and featuring the revised Questar class heavy cruiser. Enjoy!

quote: Originally posted by LBM: I tried it but couldn't figure it out at time. When you click on your AE just gives you the zoom back and add to priority list options. Will try again incase I missed something. OK, confirm it so that I can look into it. If its missing, then I can just add that option only to the AE. quote: I don't need to buy a new keyboard, I have 100's stashed in me cupboard. Will try that though, but the key only dosn't work in the game, it works in Windows. Nevermind my problem. Well, try a new keyboard first. I just tried it on three machines and it works fine. Nothing has been done with the keyboard, so I don't see why it would just stop working. Anyone else having this problem?

quote: Originally posted by Kiran: I somehow managed to miss the fact that rc28 made it to the download page. So, I thought you were talking about the vcf. yeah, you would quote: BTW 'axes' is the plural of 'axis'Hence the reason I changed the subject to the correct form, seeing that only one axis was in question. But nice try though.

quote: Originally posted by LBM: Just wondering. Now that you have taken the command options from the AE when on planets, how do we mark the AE for evac via transporter? Did you try it? quote: Oh, one last thing. I don't think it's anything to do with the game (definatly not patch related) but for some reason my BACKSPACE button don't toggle walk/run anymore. The button on the keyboard itself works just not in game. It's been working forever until now, just wondering if you had any ideas on what's causing this?[/QB]Works fine here. Buy a new keyboard

My reason? people (like TheBunny) get banned by elenkis(bot) for doing stupid things (such as repeating ROFL 4 times over), and I'm the one that's there the most. Elenkis takes between 12 and 36 hours to reply, and pugwash between 6 and 18 hours (usually). I'm there most of the time ...uhm, sorry but I can't allow that. Positions like that are only entrusted to either devs, admins or official beta testers. I don't see your name in those lists, do you? If someone gets banned for doing stupid things, thats their problem. They can bloody well wait until an op comes along and unbans them. [ 11-28-2002, 08:33 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Help with campaign mission...
Supreme Cmdr replied to Fractux's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
Yeah well, if you take Green pilots into combat, what do you expect? -
quote: Originally posted by newbie: For the marines, they are attacking me on enemy bases... sorta. They only are shooting at my marines, not me. Try using the DIE and changing to the HMT filter then cycle the targets. I'm sure you'll find one that is targeting you. Assuming it can see you. quote: They also seem to come out in very small numbers if I teleport outside the base and run in. I will see one enemy every once in awhile. If I beam straight into the base there are lots of enemy marines. This depends on the detection parameters of the units sending them out. quote: Also, the enemy just kinda stand around allot. So do my marines, but it seems like not as much. What do you expect them to do if they don't have a firing solution? Fire blindly? They won't. quote: They don't shoot very much at all. Lucky you! quote: And my marines when told to escort me stay very far back. This would be a problem if I was in danger but like I said, I never get shot at. They're not supposed to be hugging you. Escorting you means just that : escorting you. And they will keep a safe distance....knowing that you're likely to do something stupid and get them all killed. quote: Also when the enemy marines are dieing they are dropping to the prone position like they are still alive then dissapearing. And the problem is what exactly? quote: I am hoping that this is not the way its supposed to be. It is. And there are no plans to change anything. It all works as designed. quote: Even if the enemy shot at me, my rate of fire is so much higher then the enemy and the fact that I side step and they just stand there would allow me to take out an entire base by myself. They use the same weapons and have the same rate of fire. They don't just fire like complete idiots - and waste ammo....like most gamers would. quote: Anyone who has ever played a first person shooter will find the enemy marines as they are now very easy to deal with. Newsflash!! BCM is not a first person shooter. quote: Would it be possible to at least give them the same rate of fire as me and make them move around or stand still at random?See above [ 11-27-2002, 05:22 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Previously posted by LBM in a now closed thread Please, please, please help! Just re-installed Windows2000 with SP3. Updated all drivers (video/sound) and DX8.1 & Media Player 7.1. Installed BCM and patached to RC25. I played the game with no probs except that no marines where attacking me (I know this has been reported but this is not my only prob) in FP so I read elsewhere that this maybe a patch install prob. quote: quote from SC: If you are not engaged, then you didn't apply the patch properly. Un-installed game and re-installed but the same thing but I also noticed something else which only happened after re-installing. I know this is NOT game related but for some reason when down on planets in FP, the BACKSPACE button does not work to toggle walk/run! I checked that the button does work by using it in notepad. So I un-installed game and re-installed again and patched only to 1.07. Same thing. Patch all the way up to RC25 and each step had same results. I re-loaded the keyboard layout in Windows, restarted and still not working! This is the only time I have ever seen this happen. I can't understand it as it was working before I re-installed the game. Like I said, I know this is not game related but system related (but WHAT?). BTW, the marines still do not engage me. I just want to clarify what I'm doing to reproduce this. 1. start new game, select cammander career and BC mk3. 2. launch, goto tactical and move AE to transporter. 3. Goto tacops and select earth and goto mission zone 120 Ter/Ins base. 4. beam down inside the base and shoot at things. No enermy come out to engage. Please can someone reply and not delete the post. I'd rather be shouted at for stating the bleeding obvious than to be ignorned. Am I being stupid and missing something simple?

quote: Originally posted by CedricB: and I kinda... erm... lost my keyboard ref sheet... *cough* and the manual..... *double cough* How convenient. Are you one of those who bought the game, installed it, cracked it, then returned it? Anyway, you can pick up a copy of BCM from EB for $9.99 now. Buy a new copy if you want the manual and keyboard. You probably don't know this, but anyone quoting anything from the manual without my permission, gets an instant permanent banning. [ 11-27-2002, 08:31 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Is there any reason to attack planetary assets?
Supreme Cmdr replied to Romale's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)

The game was never designed in a way that revolves around any gamer's pitiful attempts at changing the course of history. There are lot of things that you can do and which affect the world - you just have to figure them out on your own. Have you ever even captured a station? Sieged a station? Wiped out every threat asset in an mzone? etc etc? -
Night at the Movies- Die Another Day
Supreme Cmdr replied to Commander Elio Jason's topic in The Arts
It made $47m on opening day. The best Bond opening, ever. It even knocked Harry to the second spot (after just a week), heh. It wasn't the best Bond, but it was very good. All action packed. And I liked how they showed the other side of Bond's humanity i.e. having him captured, locked up etc etc That made quite an impact I think. Then there's Halle. She's moving up the ladder and I'm so happy for her. Can't wait to see X2 -

This was already discussed and it listed in the VCF. If you had actually installed the scripts update which the downloads page clearly indicates that you need for 1.0.07, you won't have this problem. You obviously assumed that this file is on that page just for the heck of it. If you are using any version higher than 1.0.07, you don't need the scripts update. If you are not engaged, then you didn't apply the patch properly. Learn how to do this by reading the VCF. [ 11-25-2002, 08:57 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
