Well, its not IL-2 for the console really. IL-2 is just the name. btw, I haven't seen any cockpit shots, I hope this is not just third person or it will die a quick and sudden death. UPDATE: Scratch that. Reviews or lackof having nothing to do with the decline of space sim gaming. If people like those type of games, they will buy them - or at the very least - try the demos. The reviews are meaningless. e.g. The June issue of PC Gamer (UK) gave GCES a 48%. The gist of the review focused on the fact that it was only for hardcore fans - like it was a bad thing.

Apart from the fact that I simply woulnd't do that (for business reasons), if you knew what it cost to develop one of these games, you'd also know that donations would never cover it. From my estimation - as I've said before - UCCE is the last of its kind.

You simply can't be serious. Did you miss all the settings in Config? Unless you're trying to run the game on an PC/XT machine, the performance is just fine and we've had no complaints about it.

Those OC, FC and SC assets are used to replace your destroyed vehicles, fighters and shuttles. So if you lose a fighter, you can buy an FC asset to replace it. But you can't replace any asset unless it is destroyed.

All fighters will dock with Excalibur or Merlin to repair/rearm. Sometimes they may be too damaged to do it quickly, but it does happen. Jsut watch them at the end of every mission. You can order all fighters in your wing, as long as you are (a) doing good ( they don't out-rank you © they aren't already acting on orders from Excalibur or Merlin. Yes, you're supposed to save your missiles for cap ships. btw, make sure you're running the latest version because it puts your SSR display at the bottom of the cockpit, instead of it being buried in a VDD mode.

wow, you're still on #2? It gets harder. There is no trick to it. Just follow your commander's instructions. In fact, you're not even supposed to be in Neptune until otherwise asked to go there. If you go there before you are told you, then you're making yourself a target. As for the fighters showing up, well, uhm, just take them out? Even if time runs out, as long as you survive, there are no penalties other your not getting any medals, EPs etc.
