Ensign (1/8)

  1. I have forgotten about this game for a little while. Then I found the disk again and looked at your website. 1.8 with multiplayer is out. I installed the patch with winzip just like instructed. It says I am playing 1.8 when the 3000AD movie is playing. I still get the soldier problem and I can't select multiplayer on the list. Its like the patch did nothing even though I followed your instructions very carefully. Maybe all the patches I installed didn't work. could there be something wrong with my disk to where it doesn't accept patches? I don't know how that would work. Did everyone have the soldier problem in 1.0? I installed all the patches word for word just like you told me to. It is very strange that no one else has this problem. I think I have bad luck.
  2. When I unzip the script updates it didn't ask me to replace anything. When I look into my data folder there are 2 WINZIP files that the script updates made. One is called worlds, the other is called scenarios. The thing that might be different is that they are zip files and not configuration settings files like all of the other files in that folder.
  3. ok I'll try putting the patch in that directory before installing it. The script updates end up in a folder called data.
  4. I have tried a fresh install several times, and nothing works. Just to make sure, you install the script updates to C:Program Files3000ADBattlecruiser Mellennium, right? Do you have to do anything else with them?
  5. So, no one else is having this problem?
  6. I am not sure if this happens to other people, but for me the enemy marines don't attack the AE when I am a commander. It does happen in instant action but in roam mode, I never get attacked by an enemy marine. They do attack my marines but not the AE. I am almost posotive that I have the script updates installed properly because marines do come out of the bunkers now while before the script updates there wasn't an enemy marine in sight. Does this happen with anyone else? Just try transporting into an enemy city by yourself and see if anything happens. [ 06-13-2002, 13:44: Message edited by: Kevin ]
