Greetings. It has been quite some time since I posted here and I see things are still the same. I still play BCMG, just have been so busy lately that I have had almost no time for anything at all. Collage tends to do that. My main reason for making this post is: from other parts of the net I got drawn back to 3kAD when I heard they released a new game, well low and behold it is BCG with a new name. I have read many of the posts on dreamcatcher, and read things from elsewhere. Some praise your new game, some do not. As always being dedicated to your vision I had to come back and do some congratulation's on getting this latest one out, but again rushed as usual thanks to the publisher. As soon as I find it anywhere I will be picking it up, irregardless of the reduced price, I would have easily paid $50 for it. Keep a strong head as you have been, and do not listen to what other's say, usually responding only encourages them to flame further. An idea I have had when I was reading many things, perhaps it would be possible to make a Q&A page, every question that is asked, everything that is threatened upon, just add it to the Q&A and post that up with a message if you do indeed respond. With the information in such a centralized source, it would be more difficult for people to attack, albeit they still would, such is the nature of many humans. You are an inspiration to us, and you shall continue to be for a many years to come. I may not be around often, but I still think of your dedication even as I do my own programs, it does get hard at times, it rarely is fun, but it does always tend to be interesting. I use WinXP Pro, I have BCMG installed to H:Program FilesDreamcatcheretc.. etc.. etc.. no that is not the windows program files dir. and yes BCMG works fine, patches install fine, therefore something must be wrong on your end, not the program.

I went to a gamestop after travelling for 2.5 hours and they didn't have it (nor did they really have any games at all, unless you count crapsole games), so I went ahead and got mine at a compusa in that same city, so you all can't say I didn't try. (no, I can't get it online, no CC and not going to get one either)

Well I've heard about all of those and messed around with most except Metrowerks, havn't heard of it strangly enough. I don't intend to be doing console anything so I shall stick with VC++ and continue what I've already started, I am attempting two things at moment. One, Currently learning whats new with DX9, and two, playing around with voxals, yes I know they are old but looking into them I see plenty of promise, but they are not accelerated by anything on the comp, unlike polys, so I will probobly end up with just using polys anyway. I assume BC(M/MG/G) was made in C/C++, what compilier did you use, Borland? and where can I get it, at the moment I only have Microsoft Visual C++ and I would prefer something a little more used in the real world. Only seen one engine so far built on Visual C++ and that is the BZ2 engine (dark reign2, st armada/2 few others). I am going to try to start making a full game, but visual C++ is not really supported by a few people as I have noticed... I would also like to know the modules you have used to help make it if any, and where they are accessable, the programs that I have found out some companies use are no longer really findable, specifically Borland, I have heard of a site of an open-source version of it that I would like to get ahold of, just anything that is well used. Also while I am at it (this is for everyone else), I have set-up a webserver on a spare computer at my house, but at the moment since I have dial-up, with no chance of any type of dsl (I am over 7 line miles from nearest phone router), or cable (over 30 miles from nearest place for that, and I am not paying $12,000 just to get cable laid), and I am not gettting sat, just because of its annoyingly high latency, so at the moment the servers only up when I am home, so it should be up in late evenings to early morning, my time, and since I have dial-up, IP is dynamic so I use the no-ip service, works quite well, so my link to the forum is http://overminddl1.no-ip.info/forum/ and yes it has to have the trailing slash, I will fix that later. I love this Apache server, I also have the invision boards, which contains MySQL, which most people really don't like that (cause of it being microsoft based or not, I don't know, I have no love for MS either). I will use it until it crashes (hasn't yet suprisingly, especially what I've done to it) or if it messes up in any way I don't agree with. If you do sign up in my test forum (when its on) please don't use a password you have on this board or any other, I don't trust MySQL as of yet, and I don't know how secure it is, I don't want a person finding them out if it is open enough. Personally I have a different password everywhere, lol. Also, if anyone has a site they want to put on, don't expect it to last forever, but it is free for time being, it is on only at night, and I really want to test this server's stability so I want some things on it. You do know you can easily build better, cheaper? I have estimated the price, just by a quick look at prices while reading this, at about, hold on... about $1300, that is with much better HD, and with a nice size monitor, on par cpu, better mobo, and on par ram... You should learn how to build comps, get better pieces, much cheaper, and it is so easy it is almost funny.

My opinion about this war is attempting to think of it logically. If we had nukes that did not spread radiation then it would be far cheaper and infinitally better to use because we wouldn't waste american's or their allies lives. Since, as far as I know, we do not, then bomb them till there's nothing left, still saves our lives, ammo, etc... still kills them, this may seem harsh, even by my standpoint, but to me it seems the most logical way to have done it. It may have worked sending in an elite force to kill saddam, but what about his elite units, loyal forces, they would probobly wreak unimaginable havok, better to get rid of all of them, as fast as possible.

In regards to FTP question: Since I have XP I just map the ftp site as a virtual drive on my computer, I can access it and do anything I to it I could do as if it is a real drive, just drag the files around to put them there or off, I do that with every ftp I goto, I find it so much easy, before that I used another program to map ftp's as drives, can't remember its name, and before that I used 3DFTP (not sure of its name) because it had more options then CuteFTP and before that I used CuteFTP

One of my friends just got a Radeon 7000 for $35 at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago for his 500 mhz computer. I'd swear that his speed and quality outdid my old geforce4 on my 850 mhz comp, who knows, but if you want cheap, from what I see that card is extremely good (and cheap) with the newest drivers. (also, my friend is funning XP on that old computer and it runs perfect with all graphic options on with that video card, I was quite suprised since my 850mhz a while had problems with all options on, not anymore with my Radeon 9700 Pro, I can even play Unreal Tournament 2003 on 1024x768 on high quality with well over 45 fps on my 850mhz 384 megs ram computer, beat that for antiquity playing the new things more then perfect)

I travel 28 miles everyday to my work and there is a Fiber Connection, I love it, on a good server I can easily get over a megabyte (yes ...BYTE) a sec. I love it, but alas the network is controlled by a rather strict domain level network that I "could" bypass easily enough but I wont risk it, not even though the comps there are Dell's 2.6 ghz, 120 gigs hd, 1 gig ram, geforce 4, which if you look at my computer down in my sig, is far outdone, sooo sooo tempting...

I agree with you about modems, I hardly play any multi unless it is at a lan party because, as stated in an earlier post, my inet is 24.4 out here, quite annoying. I have about 4 or so friends that I play over a network quite often, we attempt it at least once a week, one of there computers though is not fast(200mhz), it can barely push along starcraft and quake 2 so that excludes anything new, he keeps saying he is going to get a new one, he has the money, he is just never thinking about it unless he is at one of our houses for networking, he's the one that hasn't ordered BCMG from somewhere yet for... obvious reasons. I think he is just a bit lazy in my opinion but he is fun to play with, gets a little bit tempermental at times, but eh... I can never seem to do a really short post unless I am in a hurry, can I... P.S. My I-net provider has been saying for the past year and a half that we will get Wireless out here in about a month or two, so when they finally do get it setup (not there fault they are slow, trouble is getting land to put it on, deals keep falling through... mabye I should offer my land, 30 acres should be enough) I will have 512K upload AND download, can't wait for it but am not expecting it. When it finally does arrive, then one of you fleets better be expecting someone new if I am not with one by that time.

I agree, funny thing those were the only 2 word problems, only because they were required. My Math110 teacher hates word problems too and keeps them to a minimum. I passed my test with flying colors today because it did not have word problems thankfully. First one done, took me 13 min., took the next person a little over 45 min., do not quite see how. I barely even used my graphing calculator. Something that is really sad (and this is completely a true story) is that back in high school in one of my classes, on the first day of class my teacher put some simple equations on the board and said to solve them in our head and write down our answers on a sheet of paper then put your hand up. The first set was 4 equations each having 4 sets of 4 numbers (ex. 3865+3729+9682+4729=X), I was the first one up and when every one was done (which took too long of a time) she then said the answers and for everyone who had them all right to keep their hand up, out of a class of 29, only 4 had them all correct, I was one. Next she had us do it again but with subtraction (ex. 8490-285-392-694=X) , 4 sets of those kind of equations. I was the only one in the class with them all correct. Now what I am getting at is, can I join any of you? The absolute stupidity in this area might be contagious and I really need to get out of here, anyone here live near a good IT collage like Texas Tech or Westwood or something and wouldn't mind a room-mate? EDIT: Sorry if I seem a little hot but I just got out of CIS 120 (Microsoft Office, mastered about a decade ago) and my teacher likes everything on paper, I complete 4 weeks worth of assignments that day in class and I did todays test in that class in 10 min. when it took everyone else about an hour and a half. Needless to say because my margins were off by a quarter of an inch on the excel work it got trashed. It was perfect in every way except for the printer I printed off of, I didn't even turn in any work on paper in my English class, teacher wanted everything through email or CD or something other then paper. The only thing I like on paper are game manuals or something else relating. I actually judge a game very highly on its manual, I practically memorize the manual before I go ingame. The BCM manual is, for example, extremely well done, much better then many others. I like manuals like the one that came with SC3000 Unlimited and such, I may never play that game but I still love to read the manual, hundreds of pages thick. Out of curiosity, how could you "not multiplayer much" or even at all since multiplayer has not been made for any of the released BC games? Just a quick question, not insinuating anything, I just want to know whether it was worded incorrectly or if you do not actually play this game very much. Thank very much for helping, I can do the normal problems givin out to me but when it comes to word problems for some reason I just skip em by, I can do those calculations in my head so they are easy enough, I just don't like word problems, had a bad experience in elementary... Again thank you...
