Be sure to run windows update ( http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com ) under suggested updates is a freeze-on-shutdown patch. It says because of mapped network drives but I've had good luck with it for shutting down without having mappped drives. I was using XP for games until I ran into a problem lots of people are- a lot of OpenGL games do not work. Look at any SOFII or Q3 Engine game and there are TONS of posts. It's a microsoft problem that they have yet to correct. Hmmm... OpenGL doesn't work but D3D does on XP? Interesting... Anywho, after 2 nights of trying to get it to work, I finally gave up after trying 1000 different "fixes" and like a lot of people, I never could get it to work. So I went back to 98. Edit: Just to clarify, the OpenGL problem is almost a seeming random problem- some people it works fine, others not. Sometimes the fixes they suggest work, othertimes not. I was in the "not" category. Also, on the RAM issue, it's 1GB, but if you have over 512, you might have to tweak a file if you have problems. You like that, do you? You would be amazed (we were) with how many people viewed the Knight Rider images. Nolstalgic or something... :-) That pedal with the lights was pretty cool!

Hey, just wanted to say "hi" to everyone here. Derek finally slapped me around enough to register. Actually, I've been a slacker, a ghost reading the forums but not posting. I'm not too much of a poster, but I do read quite a bit. Anywho, I'm Chameleoki from www.GameScreenshots.com . You know, the unofficial (or are we the official?) screenshot site for BCG and BCTC. Derek has been a GREAT developer to work with. Very personable and easy to work with. Just don't ask him about ATI drivers ;-) The point of this is I'm going to (finally!) fire up BCM and give it a whirl. Been meaning to, but I just moved, I have two jobs, and a website, two kids and three wives (hey, I live in Utah!). Okay, maybe not three wives but you get the picture that I'm busy. Anyway, any suggestions, quick tips, maybe things that you had to discover after playing it for hours? I've got to start playing to get up to speed for when you guys kick my ass all over the universe. Whelp, great to be here. Oh, btw, at my site we allow you to upload your own screenshots (click the red upload button on the game's full pic or thumbs pages). So show me (and others) your best pics of BCM (or any other game). We also allow off-site linking so you can even post these in the forums or what not.
