how to destroy a DVD-rom drive. an unusual question

quote:Originally posted by echo: I have a couple thousand to spare. Don't want to go much over that, but will if the gadgets impress me..... Well if this doesn't impress you nothing will. You can pick up that 64 Bit Monster for as little as 1555 and have a serious Kick but system. Though for 30 bucks, I would swap out the Nvidia card for the Radeon 9600, I've found that Radeon usually gives you less problems, such as the "Black Clouds" problem in UC that you get with Nvidia cards.

Yeah I just finished playing the Extreme Carnage Mode on BC3K V.2, That was pretty awsome how you have your Radar Computer and Tactical Computer modeled in the ship, started taking some hits and my Tactical Computer went dead!, I love that kind of stuff, and I can't wait for it to be put back into the series!

quote:Originally posted by Remo Williams: Yeah that was pretty cool for BC3K and feasible since there was only 1 cc, 4 shuttles, 4 fighters and 4 OC that had to have cockpits modeled. Its completely unrealistic to consider that feature for BCM, BCMG, or UC though due to the number of vessels in the game. That's too bad because that's one feature that I really thinks adds to the immersion factor

Help: Locating BC3000AD v1.0x
Darkling replied to dbhankins's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
In case anyone is still looking for Version 1, it's available on Gamespot, you have to download the DLX game sharing utility to get it, but you can always uninstall it later. -

I was checking out this page over at The Underdogs and noticed that it shows a fully modeled Cockpit? I've never played BC3K so I was wondering, is this a mistake or is this how BC3K was?

quote:Originally posted by Galager: Ok i got the game a week ago and love it but got some questions. First of when your on a planet and want to got to a city how do you get there fast. The fastest way to get from one place to another on a planet, is usually to go out to space, set a Waypoint on the surface at the location that you want to go to, then have your craft "Resume Waypoints" quote:Originally posted by Galager: A starship will get around 350m/s and even a shuttle that moves at 1499m/s it takes hours to get around. Is there something im missing. Also how do i find money i cant seem to find enough to keep my ship alive. Any help? First thing you want to do is deploy your mining equipment, but it takes a while for the Miners to get going so in the mean time here's what I usually do to jump start my cash operation. [*]1. Set your ship to escort Galcom HQ. 2. Go to Tactical, Crew and set your AE to go to Shuttle 1. 3. From Tactical go to Loadout and select SC1. 4. Transfer all your Spare Parts & Weapons into your shuttle. 5. Make sure your AE is in the Shuttle, launch and dock with Galcom HQ. 6. With your 75K you should be able to buy about 166 units of Plutonium. 7. Switch to Tacops, select Galcom HQ and add it to your priority list. 8. Leave Galcom and Jump at Jupiter. 9. From Jupiter Jump at the Sirius Sector and fly to the Wraith Station. 10. Sell everything at Wraith. 11. Exit Wraith Station and direct your shuttle to Fly to>Priority List>Galcom HQ. 12. Buy Weapons, Solar Panels, Plutonium, Iridium, as much as you can fit/afford and keep on trading. 13. Eventually you will need to go back to Galcom to restock everything that you sold in the first place. I do this at the beginning of every game and within an hour or so, trading the right parts and weapons, I'll end up with well over 40 Million credits.

Ongoing Evidence Of Media Bias

The Republican Party is about creating opportunities for you to advance, but since Journalists carreers pretty much have no advancement, their only hope is for some sort of government program or handout to help them out. -

The Firefighters of the future don't fight fires, they go to people's houses who have been found hiding books, and burn it down, along with all their books. Problem is, one of there own has started his own collection.... Ironic isn't it.

quote:Originally posted by LostInSpace: quote:Originally posted by Cmdr Chavik: And if that child had died you would now be charged with murder because you went against medical advice. You made a choice and have a surviving child. Great for you. The woman in the article made a choise and had a miscarriage.Good point I missed that one. Well lets see what happens now also with home births and going against the doctor's wishes. You are oversimplifing here. I don't think that Jag & his wife told the doctors "I'd rather see the baby die before taking your advice" Also, Jag did use a Midwife in his home delivery. Midwives are HIGHLY trained professionals, they're not just a nurse with a day of extra training as some people seem to think they are. There is plenty of evidence that suggests that doctors use C-sections way too much. Fact is however that this woman went to 4 different hospitols, 3 different doctors and a half dozen nurses told her the same thing, that if she didn't have a C-section, she would lose one of the babies. I mean come on, what the heck was this woman going to do, leave them in there? Someone else here was talking about the "risks" of a C-section, well what's the risk of having 2 dead corpses inside your body? What if this woman refused to EVER have the procedure done, then what? Leave 2 dead people inside her because that's her choice? Come on people there's choice and then there's you don't have a f***ing choice!
-
quote:Originally posted by Cmdr. WeeGee: I agree, its a bit extreme to convict her of murder. .... I'm pro-choice. .... some women believe in "true" birth, where c-sections and other new age methods of birth. Most women like that would typically stand their ground, even if they knew that a baby would die. So what you are saying is that if someone knowingly let her baby die. There should be no consequences because you are pro-choice. Let's not forget that we are talking about a living breathing child, a BABY, the most helpless of us. Democrats are supposed to be for the little guy, yet, the littlest ones of our race don't matter, why, because they can't vote, so they don't count. When did we as a society become so cold and calloused as to say that it's OK for a woman to "Kill her Baby" because that baby is dependent on said woman's body? Today there are all sorts of methods of Birth control, if you don't want to get pregnant, then use one of them, if you are going to be so irresponsible as to not use them and get pregnant, then I'm sorry but you should NOT be able to kill her baby because you screwed up. And it shouldn't be OK to kill your baby becuase you don't want a certain procedure done. Someone here talked about Rape and all that, but let's face reality, of Millions of Abortions proformed every year, less than 1 percent are attributed to Rape, so let's get real people. The weakest form of an argument is to argue from extremes, and that my friends is about as extreme as it gets. The norm is the woman who doesn't want to take Birth Control because it makes her "Fat" get's pregnant, then proceeds to kill her kid. That's reality.

Update:The autopsy showed that the one twin baby died 2 days before the birth. Another example of our government going too far in my opinion. "The case could affect abortion rights and open the door to the prosecution of mothers who smoke or don't follow their obstetrician's diet, said Marguerite Driessen, a law professor at Brigham Young University." First of all, the woman was crazy. quote:Originally posted by LostInSpace: The doctor who performed an autopsy found that the fetus died two days before delivery and would have survived if Rowland had undergone a C-section when urged to do so. It was not immediately clear how far along Rowland was in her pregnancy. And second, let's not leave out pertinent statements. You are starting to sound like a Democrat, tell only half the truth to make your point.

Sadly I have to click that damn error message away to have the batch file restart the server. As for a free dedicated server package, I don't think this would help to alleviate the lack of servers. You don't need the CD in the drive anymore anyway, and the chances of someone donating machines and bandwidth without playing the game himself are close to zilch. I'm sure I'm not the only one with more than one machine connected to his network.

As a matter of fact, if you came out with a yearly update, tweaked a few things here, added some of the dropped stuff there, I would buy it every time!

Biggest Difference between Republicans and Democrats

On the Caption, the article said "Here's Pat Buchannon, teaching little kids how to HATE". Exactly what did he do that was so hatefull? quote:Originally posted by Race Bannon IV: When it became okay to demonize the opposition, when the word liberal became a dirty word, when it became okay to play on some people worse fears, the GOP emerged. It is no suprise that the likes of David Duke felt comfortable under the banner of the GOP. Your party supports demonizing and belittling the opposition party rather than any intelligent discourse, it literally drips with hate. ..."It Literally drips with hate... Please, I would like ONE literal example of the HATE that you claim that the Republican Party has for everyone. This reminds me of the Nazi's campaign of the Big lie against the Jews, how the Jews HATED everyone, they figured if they said the BIG LIE over and over again, eventually it would become the truth. quote:Originally posted by Race Bannon IV: These beliefs havemade any bipartisan cooperation almost impossible.... As far as Christian principles goes, we have then too. Some of us are quite uncomfortable with the Democratic party's stance or lack of a stance on values moral and character....Well I'm sorry, but things like letting a doctor Partially deliver an 8mo. Term baby, then claiming that it's not REALLY a baby because it wasn't born (since it didn't come ALL THE WAY out), then sticking a needle in the back of his/her head to suck his/her brains out to perform an "Abortion" (legally sanctioned murder), is not exactly one of the things that I can compromise on. If this is not the ESSENCE of EVIL then I don't know what is. But who cares right, as long as the RICH PAY that's what's really important. Having Dr. Kevorkian have his way, that's just Human life, who cares. Letting poeple get away with Murder like the Abortionists and Willie Horton, is not such a big issue for you guys, because Money is more important to you. For people who claim to be for the little guy, Democrats seem to align themselves with the sickest issues of the day, it seems that they troll college campuses for issues, from people who have not yet had a chance to experience life enough to know what the country REALLY needs. Well I better stop, I guess my HATE is showing through. -

quote:Originally posted by Race Bannon IV: Do you really think MLK if alive today would be a Republican, The republican party of today is much different than the one that existed then.Actually, yes I do, I Really don't think that MLK, being a Reverend, would approve of the Pro-Abortion stance of the Democrats. Somehow I don't think that killing babies would sit too well with him. As for the Republican Party being so different today, exactly what is different? Our Alignment with Christian Principals? It was those very principals that motivated Republicans to eliminate slavery, discrimination and push for civil rights. -

If Gore would have won the Presidency, he would be sitting in the Oval Office with his thumb up his A$$, complaining to the UN that they need to DO SOMETHING!
