I found where the corruption was coming in. If I use the ctrl+alt+s key combination then the next time I launch shuttles there is a crash. If I use the command system menu there is no crash. I have tried it 6 differnt times with the same results. You may want to check the code for that key combination.

Ok this is what I do. 1 launch from station 2 set waypoint in tacops for cc 3 target planet for planetfall 4 put marines on shuttles 1 per shuttle 5 set drone deploy waypoints in tacops 6 when marines are in shuttles launch shuttles, I generally use the command craft all shuttles launch. 7 after shuttles have returned set extract waypoints in tacops 8 wait for several hours, generally 3 to 3.5 hours 9 launch shuttles 10 when the first shuttle gets over drone and starts landing is when crash to desktop happens. I have just ran a program called Pcdoctor oncall and it showed several problems within my registry and whithin device drivers. I have used it to repair those errors and tried the game. So far it is working fine the game has been running almost an hour and no problems yet. I hope this has fixed the problem. I will report back with more information later.

It happens on both versions. I have norton internet security and let it check all files before I disable it to play BCMG. The only thing I can think of is a bad cd. I ordered it from Dreamcatcher. I have checked drive it is good no problems with western digital diagnostics.

Problem Is still there. I will defrag again and check again.

I found scandisk on my system recovery disks and ran that. It says no problems with drive. Apparently the problem is somewhere else if scandisk is working properly. I have just resetup my system so will reinstall game and see if problem recurrs.

It is still crashing. Does anyone know of a free or cheap utility to check hard drives for windowsxp? Chkdsk does not seem to fix the problem. Thanks for any help.

I am currently defraging my drive after I used the Chkdsk program in windowxp. I will let you know if it fixed the problem. I'm hoping that it did. I apparently did have bad sectors because I had to put windows back on because programs stopped responding. I will uninstall and reinstall then try the game for extended time and let you know. Thanks

Does pcdocter for windows check for bad sectors? I have a copy of it on my computer will check and see if it does. Thanks again

Update it didn't fix the problem. After about 3 and a half hours the problem has returned. I've defraged and I have the newest drivers available for sound and video. Any hints or tips to correct this problem would be apprieciated. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help, the uninstall reinstall fixed the problem. Again thanks alot now I can do something when I can upgrade my craft.

I have tried to get around this and have failed sofar. When I send shuttles to recover filled drones the game crashes to desktop. It happens with autopilot or me piloting. The first shuttle to get over a drone and start landing game crash. Is this a bug under investigation? I am running BCMG.
