  2. quote:Originally posted by Has: quote:Originally posted by Richard: Rubbish. Europe isn't Korea. FAST ( the Federation Against Software Theft - a UK organisation) recently opened their first US office to help combat software piracy in the States as well as over here. Totally agree! That's BS, I've spent a little time in Europe as well and have seen these so-called Net-Markets. Nothing but bootlegs sold by vendors. It's funny seeing "The Sims" in Deutche with two puds they pulled off the street, took pictures of, and glued it to the CD. I wonder if they are aware that CD Label Software and accessories do exsist.
  3. None of that really matters in Europe, Remo. Or anywhere else internationally, for that matter. Bootlegging is rediculous overseas, I saw it during a tour in Korea. Big companies are finally starting to crack down. It's funny how most of the world's bootleg kings (and by that, I mean most of the world) have nothing good to say about America, yet at the same time the only video games, music, or movies they buy are American. Unfortunatley, most of those are bootlegged. So, the next time you're in a European restraunt and the waiter starts yelling at you for not paying, just reply "Hey buddy, I did pay, it's called the Marshall Plan!" 4. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Stations don't resuppply themselves. They are supplied by traders and military transports which dock there. If none dock, then the station will degrade over time. This is what sieging a station entails. If you cause a station to launch all its assets and you prevent military transports from docking, it won't get any new supplies. HOWEVER, any station asset that makes it back to the station (limps back, towed by a shuttle etc), is repaired, rearmed and ready for action. God, that's what I love most about this game, small details like that and the fact that things happen whether you're around to see it or not. It's nice to play a game that doesn't specifically revolve around the player, for once.
  5. Looks like RESNIG just found a new friend, TacO!
  6. quote:Originally posted by Kasey Chang: So how is it that a PTA turret on a Warmonger can do 150 while one Main Gun only does 50? Because you have bout 4 to 6 of 'em firing in unison. And, technically, their use is limited to a few hundred meters, so the power boost is to compensate for what it lacks in range. (Correct me if I'm wrong, of course)
  7. quote:Originally posted by Cruis. In: there is nothing that says monkey game in the games list. quote:Good one really dont post unless you are really saying something that matters. ok? Ok, here we go. Click this link -> http://www.tekzoned.com/ <- This one right here. Scroll down and more of the web page is revealed. You have two lists, separated by a border. Focus your attention to the list on the left. Choices are as follows: Whatswrong Insanity Test Say It - 3 words Wanna be an Apple Mystery Room Monkey Game <- This is the one you want , right here. Now, spank the friggin' monkey already.
  8. Wouldn't that violate the Geneva Convention?

  10. Any fan of the racing genre knows that Motor City Online is about to get shafted come the 29th. Great game. Although, I can honestly say I haven't played it in months due to the move from Korea, the re-registration and bill handling, etc. (I'm just too friggin' lazy!) Those familiar with the old-school DOS based racing game Street Rod (or Hot Rod, whichever you prefer) know that this was the game that pretty much started it all. Yep, nothing like building every possible aspect of your car from deciding whether or not to put a 2-3 manifold on the block all the way down to screwing in the one bolt that connects to the engine mount and, amazingly, keeps the engine in place. And let's not forget that amazing "Auto-tuning" machine that fractions the cost of labor. When MCO came along it brought back all of those great memories. Now we'll be force-fed crap from the east like Super Midnight Dance Racer Party! -or whatever the heck they're being called these days- until someone tries to ressurect the classic feel of racing your initial '53 Crapper for mula until you can afford that '69 Camaro. I never understood how driving 130mph into a wall didn't result in the sudden demolation of my vehicle. Not even a friggin' scratch. But if racing games like that are selling, I guess I'm wrong. The least EA could have done was release a final patch that allows you to play the game locally. If deadbeat hackers could do it with EQ, then the legit companies sure as $#!+ can, too. Just seems like a waste of money after all this time. I'm done griping, have a day.
  11. quote:Originally posted by Yahoo News ...ordered to pay $180 million in restitution in $500-a-month installments ÔÇö a payment plan that would take 30,000 years to fulfill. Haha. "Yeah, sure, I'll getcha back in 32,003, if the human race isn't extinct by then." quote:Originally posted by Rm: $180 million??!! Excuse me for saying that's a bit unreasonable, after all, he is being jailed... ...$900 million projected loss must've used some Enron-style "fuzzy math" to reach... ...5000 people lined up to buy Frazier's unit......that would mean that if each of those people were to pay for their cable, they would each have to pay $180,000 to reach the $900 million total... So 5 years in jail would be a justifiable punishment for millions in loss? (Vote Gore in '04, then!) Granted, the math may seem "fuzzy", but you have to consider that those 5000 lined up for pirated cable weren't going to watch it for one day. They factored in the lifespan and monthly costs per person that the local satellite would lose to the piracy. [ 06-30-2003, 03:46 PM: Message edited by: aggressor27 ]

  13. I have the same problem, but could it be because I am using a throttle instead of mouse/keyboard flight? This is the joystick I am using. Either way, I'm not too worried about it. As MTS is convvenient, I find dogfights more exciting when I have to adjust speed and pitch manually per Falcon 4.0.
  14. quote:Originally posted by LostInSpace: Ha, I love those. No matter how many times I've seen them you never know when the heck it's gunna pop up. If you like that, you'll get a kick outa this site. http://www.tekzoned.com/ Oh and be sure to play the monkey game. 157 mph, how about you?
  15. Believe it or not, when I saw that for the first time I found myself leaning back and thowing haymakers toward my monitor, like a friggin' idiot.
  16. Don't feel bad, I did too. Just passing along the fun!
  17. Are you being controlled by advertizements? Does Corporate America imbed ideas and thoughts into your head, subconsiously forcing you to spend your hard earned money to indirectly fund them? Do you really care?! Me neither, but these are interesting, actually. The plus side: it's a great way to waste time while you wait for that webpage about Equus Caballus: Mating Habits to load since it's bandwidth is so crappy during peak hours. Watch, and enjoy this Flash about subliminal messages in advertizing. It's only about a minute long. And the wierdest and most surprising one is the second to last ad from a mom-and-pop type grocery store. [ 06-28-2003, 12:33 AM: Message edited by: aggressor27 ]

Gotcha covered, SC Sacre Bleau, Jas! Le Commandant Suprême dit; "à moins que vous cessiez de lui envoyer des lettres, il vous interdira des forum de BattleCruiser"! Maintenant, de nouveau à mon fromage et vin! Thank you Babelfish.com! Also, my wife is sitting next to me on the other computer learning German, should I be worried? Anyway, back to my shows! 19. About that auto save, are you refering to the feature that is already in BCMG, that somehow saves your progress periodically without you having to? [ 06-28-2003, 02:58 PM: Message edited by: aggressor27 ]
  20. hehe, kick @$$. Good luck and keep us updated, we may learn a thing or two.
  21. I use the Thrustmaster Afterburner. It's old, and out dated, been thrown across the room and it's still kicking. The only problem is you need to calibrate it almost every time you use it. Maybe it's just mine, it's old. Whilst looking for the website to refer to you, I found that the Afterburner II came out. So now I'm going to buy it. Great products altogether. [EDIT] Hehe, my post may have not seemed too uplifting, my apologies, but the Afterburner series is friggin' awesome and handle great. That was the point I was trying to get across, but I somehow lost it along the way. [ 06-27-2003, 11:18 PM: Message edited by: aggressor27 ]
  22. YKYBPTMBCW Your wife wants a friggin' divorce, and I've barely had the game.
  23. of course. I never blamed the game, SC.
  24. A fight to the death should resolve this, then? All I know is, when I load BCMG after a crash and start pressing buttons or activating TACOPS and what-not, the game freezes immediately, but if I leave it alone for a few, then start messing around, I have no problems. It's consistant with everytime I load after a crash. [EDIT] Keep in mind, I'm not talking about crash prevention or the "sound loop" problems, just responding to the fellow who said he had problems loading saved games after a crash. 25. Actually, I think I can relate to how you hard core fans and veterans alike felt about my mistake. That's like someone telling me you can fire .223 rounds from an M249. My apologies. Ok, it has been corrected to the best of my knowledge so far. Anyway, I'd like to hear some stories and perhaps gain some knowledge and tactics as well.
