Just for Scriv, THIS is the Serenity movie thread. I can't get onto the boss, it's his board . He could have ten Serenity threads if he wanted. Anyway, the boss posted a trailer in the other thread and that got me interested again so I went to www.serenitymovie.com and found the High Definition Trailer . It's pretty cool if you have the machine to run it. The beastie stuttered just a bit. Be sure to send Windows Media Player to FULL screen mode. Wow.

quote:Originally posted by Teknocack Prime: Now back to the show. I can't wait for next Friday! Boomer took Starbucks ride! Sneaky Cylon jerks! Man, did Colonel Tigh go off on the other Boomer or what? High drama indeed. The sad part is I watched every episode except the season finale including the second time around during the mini marathon. Is that Boomer #2 or Boomer #3? Last season's finale is available for free on the Galactica page at sci fi .com. I arranged to have it taped. I liked it. Next week, Cylon troops invade the Galactica.

quote:Jaschan, meanwhile, has taken a job at a computer company that creates anti-virus programs. After three years, Jaschan's conviction will be erased from public record if there are no new offenses, Kreutzfeldt said. Sound like he's set up for life. Don't you just hate it when people succeed by nefarious means? I'm with paranide on a much harsher community service sentence and perhaps a longer probation but what's done is done. -
Hmmmm, haven't heard much on this but the NBC network is going to show two episodes 7/9/05 from 7 pm to 10 pm Central time per Yahoo! TV listings. quote:"Hand of God", Episode #110. When fuel supplies dwindle, the fleet must make an attack on a Cylon-controlled tylium mine. Sounds exciting. quote:"Kobol's Last Gleaming", Episode #112/113. A supply patrol discovers a hospitable planet; Baltar, Lee and Kara find themselves in an awkward triangle; as the fleet prepares to battle the Cylons for control of Kobol, the tensions between Adama and Laura explode. Then, the blurb I saw on TV that made me look this up mentioned something else. Season opener perhaps? Has a network picked it back up? (coulda swore there was a different thread where I posted the free episode available via Sci Fi channel .com but I couldn't find that.)

High Court Expands Reach of Eminent Domain
Charles Lindsey replied to Quazar's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Payback time. quote:WEARE, N.H. -- Following a Supreme Court ruling last week that gave local governments power to seize private property, someone has suggested taking over Justice David Souter's New Hampshire farmhouse and turning it into a hotel. "The justification for such an eminent domain action is that our hotel will better serve the public interest as it will bring in economic development and higher tax revenue to Weare," Logan Darrow Clements of California wrote in a letter faxed to town officials in Weare on Tuesday. -

First Solar spacecraft set to blast off
Charles Lindsey replied to LostInSpace's topic in Science, Technology & Health
If you like, try the book The Wreck of The River of Stars by Michael Flynn. Fairly decent. Believable solar sail tech descriptions. -
It had it's lump and bumps as most first seasons do. Some episodes were great and some were hokey but on the whole it seems like Star Trek original episodes vs Wrath of Khan. That is if the entire movie is as good as the trailer makes it out to be.

Pretty good MSN article on the "evolution" of Batman. However; This link in the article and the rest of the site is just wrong. I am so gonna burn for that.

I think he's fishing. Seems like I got several email's inviting me to join a pre-made web page featuring UC and guilds and junk. If my guy did it himself I feel sorry for him. I'm sure not gonna leave official or sanctioned sites. If he did it with a script well then. We had a similiar post on our Insurgent forum. I think he's just fishing.

Thank you. It has been a pleasure and an honor serving under you and serving with you. I accept and shall strive to maintain the traditions of the Insurgents. I wish to leave you with the first few lines of a poem by John Masefield. Sea Fever I MUST down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

Thank you for your service.

Yeah well, I should have said Walt. Walt can "do things". They are re-running the first episode. I definitely heard the "mechanical" sound of the monster/security system. Sly devils.

No prob. A silly entertaining topic deserves a silly edit.
