  1. The demo was OK. Good graphics, fairly impressive AI(not Einstein or anything, but pretty good), and it actually ran well on my piece of trash computer (800 mhz, 640 mb ram, Geforce 3). It was pretty fun, but it didn't add up to much more than your standard fps fair.

  2. Myself, I only had 2 complaints with the game. The interface is a bit...clunky, The second is that you spend a lot of time just floatin around goin places, or waiting for something to happen instead of really being in the thick of the action a lot. Oh, and it would be pretty neat if the AI fought large scale battles on their own, instead of those little 2-ship skirmishes that happen all over. But thats about it.

  3. Well for me, its not so much that MoH series sucks, its that WW2 shooters have been beaten into the dirt and they are still making more. To date, there are at least 14 WW2 shooters that have been released in recent past. On the pc you had Return to Castle Wolfenstein, MOHAA, the 2 MOH expansions and the 3rd one their working on now, Wolfenstein Enemy territory, Battlefield 1942, the 2 battlefield expansions, Call of Duty (and its inevitable at least 2 expansions). Then on consoles, there were the first 2 Moh's that I don't remember the names of, and then Medal of Honor Frontline, and then the new crappy one. Holy christ its attack of the clones! Seriously, its the same war. How many different ways can you take the same nazis, with the same guns and the same uniforms at the same places at the same times against the same allies with the same guns in the same uniforms at the same places at the same times? It would be like if we took Halo, and made 13 more that weren't even sequels, that just tweaked a couple minor things and then charged you $50 for each one. Damn, don't people ever get sick of it?!

    EDIT:

Oh, I only got 2 games for christmas this year. Savage and Deus Ex 2. Savage is the most addictive game ever (sory Derek). When you first load it up and play a couple rounds you'll say "Ehh...its ok, not that great." Then when you look at the clock again you'll notice that you've been playing for the last 6 hours and still want to play more. And Deus Ex 2? I don't know because 10 seconds into the game, it crashes my computer. Oh, I would also like to add that for the brief 10 seconds (maybe) that it does work, it runs at barely 15 fps. Yay!

  4. Well, perhaps people would keep buying PC games if the developers stopped putting out the same pathetic and painfully unorignal boring rehashes of FPS's, RPG's, and RTS's, hmm? How many freaking World War 2 games did EA and their pets think they could make before people got sick of it, or how many billions of expansion packs for The Sims?

  5. Personally, I think SC should wait. Not only is UC's purpose to sell to the core audience, but it also is a great opportunity to attract new customers. That said, we all know how much people love to smash SC, and if UC has ANY bugs in it, I have no doubt that game reviewers and such will throw his ass on the fire for it, which will naturally repel anyone else from getting the game. Now, perhaps its just me, but it seems that very few people are fans of the Battlecruiser series. It seems UC's big draw that a lot of us are looking forward to is the multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, I like this community and all, but it's going to get mighty boring playing with the same 10 people.

So in summary, wait and make the game as bugfree as you can in a realistic period of time.

  7. I haven't bought any new games because, frankly, most of the new ones are complete garbage rehashes of the same old tired game formulae (cookie cutter fps, rpg, rts). Though I do want to buy Savage. I used to be in the beta and it was badass, though certain circumstances prevent me from going out and buying it. I would play BCMG alot but my attention span is far too short to do anything cool. So lately I've been playing Day of Defeat. Super awesome half-life mod. Soooo much better than Counter-Strike IMO. Problem is you gotta play it through crappy Steam. I'm downloading OMF. Was following it for a while and completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me.
