  1. Denny, no problem. Enjoy your trip. We can connect later. Ben, let's you and me do both then so we can catch Eclipse and Kal. Sho, it's fine. You've been more than flexible already. Please come to the early session. I have modified the availabilities in my post above. It should be fun. We might even have time for a quick AWA game.
  2. I actually can't quite make it at 2pm sharp, but here are the (Eastern Standard) times I'll be online Sun Feb 10: 11am to 12:30pm and from 2:15pm 'till about 5pm. Eclipse, excellent! See ya at 2:15. Is your TS account all set up? 8 am it is! That'd be awesome if Denny could make it too! Thanks for passing that along to him, Kal. Ask him if he's got his account set up too. Ben, Sho, thank you both for your flexibility. Now if I'm reading all your posts correctly, gents, here's who can attend what: Availabilities updated Feb 9 2008, 09:45 AM 11am to 12:30pm EST Ben Zwycky - both times are doable ShoHashi - can make one time or the other, not both Quazar - both are doable Kalshion - can attend this session only dennymala - can't make it this time 2:15pm to 5pm East Ben Z. Sho Quazar Eclipse - can attend this session only Case will be busy that afternoon and hasn't gotten back to us about the eleven o'clock session. We have not yet heard back from Chavik and $ilk. I really want to include everybody. So, how about if we meet at both times? Just so there's no confusion gentlemen, we are using Rip's TeamSpeak server.
  3. Thank you all for responding. Sounds good Ben. Does the TS server tell you who's already registered? Do you know which people still need to be added? I think 2pm Eastern is 8pm your time. But we can reschedule - see below. Well then 11am Pacific won't work for you. How about if we reschedule to 11am Eastern - three hours earlier? Ben, would that alternate time still work for you? Denny, Kal, would this work better for you? Thank you for telling us, Case. Could you attend at 11am East? If not it's OK. I apologize for not giving advance notice further than a week. Voting and general decision-making at an FL meet is limited to Fleet Leaders and their top level staff (Executive Officers, co-Fleet Commanders, etc,), or anyone designated by them in their stead. But attendance and discussion is open to anyone as far as I'm concerned. If not, then Sho, Ben or someone please correct me. Here's a rough agenda (additions are welcomed): The role of the Academy as a dB entity and MP training in general. What do we hope to accomplish through the curriculum? Should each Fleet or Alliance have its own program? Should all Alliances pool their resources together? Or should we use a combination? Should we group (prospective) Fleet members within the dB based on MP training status? If so, how? Reevaluate Fleet signature rules and guidelines and verify Fleet member compliance. Should we allow some defined variance and limited creativity? Organize the year's first MultiPlay match. This should be fun! Address any concerns or topics introduced "from the floor" even by non-voting attendees.
  4. I'd like to schedule a meeting for Sun Feb 10 at 2pm EST. Find what time that would be for you here. Whether this time works for you or not, please post here either way. We have plenty to discuss!
  5. Hi Thadius, welcome to 3000AD and to Wraith Fleet. Thank you for hosting UCAWA for us. I'm currently logged into Rip's TS server. PM Ben and he'll set up an account for you. Thank's Rip! Ben, Sho, if you or anyone sees this post before I log off, come on over and let's talk. You too, Thadius. Thanks again.
  6. Details received (last week actually). Thanks, Ben. Does Rip have a TS server?
  7. Hi _silk! Hey your PM box is full!! ShoHashi's been trying to reach you for a couple days. Send him a PM would ya? Thanks!

  8. VERY cool, Boss!!
  9. Hey Ben! Good to talk to you again! Hey, Eclipse says that you have upload access to part of Insurgent Central Command, to the open directory where some extraneous files are.

  10. I'll do that. Thanks, Eclipse! Check his profile for details.

  11. Happy New Year!!!
  12. Ben Z. can upload to ICC?

  13. DeSylva's RP timeline - my 50k version, not the original 372k one (look at the source and you'll see why). The other two files are Remo's MP Handbook (which I converted from MS Word format) and it's accompanying AWA logo. All three together should actually be just over 220k.

  14. BTW I'm officially back from my two year break from the Fleets community, though I'm not quite ready to join up in the Db just yet. Because I'm quite busy with RP reference work on my own machine, you probably won't see me post much more than while I was gone until I'm ready to start posting stories. Thanks for your additions and clarifications, SC.
  15. Thanks Sho! I did add you as my friend, back in September I think. Click view all friends.

  16. Hi Eclipse! Hey do you think you could host three files that are currently on my site (check my profile) on ICC, so that they can be viewed without adds? Should be less than 300k in total size.

  17. Pellaeon, please check your PM. Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
  18. Nice new shiny Santa gremlin there, Boss. Merry Christmas to my friends in the 3000AD community. Treasure the time with your families as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. I will attend two separate family gatherings. What about you guys?
  19. Hi Nature539, welcome to the 3000AD Forums. I would be gald to help you find an answer for your question. But we need you to type calmly, even though you're (understandably) frustrated. Thank you in advance. The manuals for BC3Kv2, BCM, UCG, UCAWA and UCSE (I don't have CE yet) all explain how to extract your Alter-Ego from a planet to your orbiting Command Craft. However, I have found no such complete manual in my files for either of the DreamCatcher releases - BCMG or UC. If Nature539 is indeed playing the original Universal Combat, and has no other 3000AD games installed then I would actually take issue with your solution, Protoford, though I'm sure you meant well. Nature539 doesn't have the full PDF manual, only a revision file - which, as far as I could tell, does not answer his question. Now in Protoford's defense, the Tutorial which is included in the original UC's docs folder does explain exactly how to evacuate one's AE from a planet to his orbiting ship. I had never read that or any other UC tutorial before today and it only took me 5 minutes to find the relevant section.
  20. Yes, we do. But now I will have a bigger, better, gratis version to wet my friends' appetite for your more recent offerings. Indeed it might, Ben. Great news, Boss. Can't wait!
  21. Hi $ilk! Hi Kahul, please do not disturb SC with Fleet business. He has appointed ShoHashi as Caretaker of the Fleets. Contact him or Ben Zwycky, or even $ilk for that matter, to participate in Fleet MultiPlay. Thanks for reporting back in, Kahul. It's good to hear from you again. Edit: @ Dec 12 2007, 02:28 PM My bad. Thanks for clearing that up, Kahul.
  22. What's a little blink in site service? If Aplus.Net takes too long -ing your box to its new data center, I'm sure you'll them real fast and take your business someplace else. We'll be right behind you too, Boss. But seriously, I think the move will go fine. We know you'll take care of it.
  23. Testing 1 2 3. How's this for a comment to myself?

  24. Well Boss, it looks like we're going to do this to you one more time - seeing as how the Sep 15th upgrade to IP.Board conveniently reduced our post counts - it brought yours back down under this lucky number. It's like having two birthdays! All the best to you, Derek. Thank you for so faithfully supporting and making the type of game I want to play. Looking forward to the Galactic Command series.
  25. quote:Originally posted by BC_Vet: Why isn't there any mention the the indie fleetI just forgot to include it. My apologies. In a special case in 2004, Derek permitted players of the non-militaristic Terran/Raider Alliance to play on his Fleet-only MP servers through membership in TDH Raider Fleet. He revoked that permission later that year and disbanded TDH after its members had disagreed at length with the views of some members of other Fleets. I do not care to revisit what they discussed, but TDH did show promise. quote:Originally posted by BC_Vet: True there was some sort of conflict between parties, but does that negate the history? No, the presence of conflict does not negate the history.
