  1. Has he reviewed any of your previous games? Does he have *any* history of reviewing, or being a fan, of space-sims? I'm guessing he falls under the 'play-for-only-30-seconds-then-blame-his-own-stupidity-on-the-developer' syndrome.
  2. FATALs locked, PTA up, Turrets at full, and ready to HJ at a moments notice.
  3. "This is because during the early-game I kill them off to hardcode the ai clone lvls." What do you mean by hardcode? Does this help spur IA 'growth'? Or is this some nefarious Raider technique?
  4. ** Frank Layden, Utah Jazz president, on a former player: "I told him, 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, "Coach, I don't know and I don't care."** LOL!
  5. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Wait'll you guys see this. These Freespace fanbois have far too much time on their hands.
  6. I just removed the giant vid-screens displaying UC-HTL shots from the Flight Deck, and now crew members don't sit around and gawk.
  7. What are you overall stats for the UC game(XP, artifacts, medals etc)? I'm nosey. As for watching the BC universe, I almost always find myself doing that, even to the point of watching more than playing. My F10 key is getting well worn. TacOps is fantastic for taking it all in, and zooming into areas of interest. (I consider TacOps one of the most staggeringly powerful features in *any* game.) I'm a self-admitted UC voyeur.
  8. Anyone have a favourite trade route they'd be willing to share for UC? (Provided whats being traded stays within GALCOM regulations ). I usually rely on mining/cargo sweeps for my funding but would love to start trading more if it turns out to be more profitable.
  9. quote:Originally posted by Ditto00: Do not give an escort order to any craft (except fighter to fighter) when you want to escort. Use HALT instead. This will cause the craft not to suicides against stations, and this action becomes the default action when not carring out one of your orders. Instead, before you hyperspace, tell them to go to your destination. Once they are there, they will not do anything else except fight other crafts there. You can even tell them to go through a gate ahead of you, and they will not do a rambo once they are on the other side, they will just wait patiently for another order. It's a lot more clicks, but better to have your crafts, than none.Yup, I no longer use escort at all unless to cover my own fighters. Nudging them towards destinations/targets requires slightly more micromanaging but saves on repair/cloning costs. quote:One more thing, make sure all of the crafts jump through about the same time... many times I have lost an escort fleet because the jumped through one at a time and got slaughtered by whatever is over there. I always go through gates cloaked (if I don't have a probe on the other side) and give the Fly-To orders to my fighters when I'm about 10k from going through. That way, I can quickly assess whats on the other side. (And it looks cool if I attack something upon arriving and have my fighters show up like the cavalry 30 seconds into the fight).
  10. HJing to the Supply station is now the only way I approach stations (great for getting into close range and taking them over) Thanks for the wonderful tip!
  11. Has anyone ever had intruders in the transporter section? I was struck with the thought that, if you were in orbit around a planet/moon, you may be able to teleport their weazily butts planetside(preferably smack dab in the middle of a TER/MIL base ).
  12. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: New detailed post and a surprise (!) link. Wow! I love the lighting effects in those shots. Can't wait for the end result. Kudos to you and your team.
  13. Nice to actually see a thread develop with lucid and tactfully informative posts, as opposed to the hate spam in the others. Lots of good info there. The ancient sales figures were certainly educational in regards to the (past) state of space sim popularity. Would be great to see more current ones. Would I be banned for asking?

    Website?

I can actually see the headings of the latest posts from the main forum list, but when I enter that subforum, the heading post doesn't exist. As an example, I can see that Mrxknown has posted in some of the forums, but those posts do not appear to me. The only one that updates, and can be read fine is the Academy section.

    Website?

Ah! I was wondering what happened as I tried to post my Cadet AAR. It's not like you need sleep, anyway, Remo.
