  1. Agreed. [ 03-04-2004, 11:08 AM: Message edited by: mentis ]
  2. I just got RC7 and havn't had time to try it out yet. Thanks for the info though. I am only experiencing the flicker in UC, unfortunately, and maybe I can do something about it now.
  3. That's cool. I actually laminated my command sheet at the first sign of wear. And because it rests directly in front of my keyboard. I recommend it to anyone else who likes to keep theirs in good shape. Cost me less than a dollar to laminate at Kinko's.
  4. 8) He he, okay I get it now. Of course I could also take it to Kinko's. They'd do a much better job. However, "posterize" means something different in graphics terms.
  5. That is one hell of a confusing post. With all your typos and stuff I have no idea what you're talking about .
  6. So you guys still working on this? I have some 2D experience (primarily PhotoShop), and I might be able to lend a hand.
  7. 8) I think that the reason the question was never answered, and is once again unanswered here, is because the answer is in the appendix. Basically, if you're not military, as far as I understand it, you can't move up in the ranks and therefore do not need experience. However, you probably still get experience for destroying hostiles. Besides, you can just kill a hostile and check your profile to see if you've gained any xp.
  8. Understood!
  9. Alrighty . Goodluck.
  10. So I guess I'll just have to hope that 1) a new Detonator driver will come out that will fix this, or 2) I'll be showered with a large sum of money from my tax return and get a new video card. Of course it's possible that neither of those will fix the problem . But, has anyone experienced the veering mentioned in #2 above? This is particularly noticeable when trying to snipe at max zoom, since it will veer to the right a considerable amount. And putting the crosshairs back on target doesn't eliminate this as it continues to veer.
  11. Yeah, I figured as much, but no harm in trying . Maybe the map could be offered as a large image download so people can print their own poster? Cause you can just take it to Kinko's or something and have them print it nice and big. Since you can't get the poster anymore. I don't think that would be a bad thing.
  12. Hmmm. Not that I have this problem, but it would be nice to offer the command sheet as a text or image download. If nobody else wants to, I can host it on my site? ...that is if I have the permission to do so.
  13. Would be nice if we could have a quicksave/quickload feature in the next update patch. But the last few RC patches have certainly increased my game's stability so I haven't lost much gameplay due to a crash...just when I screw up and get killed .
  14. I have upgraded to RC4, and the following occurences still persist. I have not seen this mentioned on the forum or the VCF. 1. When approaching a jumpgate, the jumpgate textures begin to flicker at a distance of 10.0 or below. 2. When walking in FP on the moon (& venus), the ground flickers. This may not be a texture issue however, since it looks more like a lighting issue (maybe). Here is a zipped video clip of this: www.mentisworks.org/textureflicker.zip (right click to save target-as). 3. Also when walking planetside in FP mode, the point of view/the crosshair veers to the right at times. I cannot say what the common denominator is on this one. It has happened to me on the moon as well as the IA scenarios. That is all, and my system profile should be up to date. Thanks in advance for any light that anyone may shed on this.
  15. I used a tutorial written for on of the other BC titles a long time ago on www.cowzilla.com/bcweb and that helped. Between the beginner's tutorial on that site and checking the controls sheet for the current key commands, I was able to get into the game after about two or three times through the tutorial. Try it out, it may help.
