Just got this game, have a few questions

i have read the manual, but I still need help. After I cause destruction on a planet's surface, I like to return to space. I know I have to make it to 35000, but I can never get my cc that high. Any tips? -
This game has no learning curve and no cheats. How can anyone be expected to learn to play it if it has no training and no cheats, how I am going to learn to play it? Also, how can you take over vehicles you launch like you could in BC3000Ad? What are you supposed to do exactly on the first mission? These are my questions for now. Thanx.
