  1. oh, I am foolish. I just have to look into tradecom...
  2. ...I found out, that it works just like in Falcon 3.0. if a friendly craft you want to protect is attacked, just try a missile lock onto the attacker. no matter if out of range or not. the enemy will then let loose of his target and turn to you......and another poor soul is saved.
  3. lol, after 10 minutes of gametime I got my first intruder and he got away with a shuttle. of course I learned from that, launch control is offline most of times, now. I kept on playing of course, because it would have been really pathetic the other way.... one quick question: I salvaged pods worth about 1 mio. cr. during the next 10 minutes. did that compensate my loss?
  4. oh, this ad. I remember it. was in the PCPlayer back then and I especially liked/like it, because it got censored it was truely impressing for me to read the backtext on the package in a store. sadly I had not enough free time then, and I knew at the instance that this would be dearly needed for this game. can you imagine? I stopped playing X2 for BCMG last week! it is truely the game I ever dreamt of back then when playing ELITE on my ole ATARI ST in 1987. just playing a few days now and got the hang of it earlier than expected. ok, I am no newbie in simgames but you rarely put your hands on something as complex as this one. pretty sure I will play UC, too. after BCMG (perhaps Derek remembers my post on the Avault forum, that I want to go thru BCM first before advancing to UC. I kept my promise and I'm here now ). strangely I still underestimate this simulation. I missed a display of the load of mining-drones and thought this would have been nice to have been implemented. the joke is: I found out shortly afterwards that there are 2 of it. LOL carry on, SC....
  5. I think you already mentioned the most lucrative actions, EPwise. you can bring back friendly or neutral ships to a station. up to 1000 EPs I think. its not too dangerous, though.

  7. ...sorry about the avatar. did not know, that not all public avatars are public.
  8. quote:Originally posted by DennyMala: No problem if the name is already taken by another player..... unless maybe if you join a fleet or a MP session..... BTW your avatar is a personalized one for Cmdr De Sylva..... I advise you to choose another one before one of the adms or mods notice that... funny thing. I picked this avatar from the forum's pool. I knew I should have picked a custom one....
  9. ...that there is a game, most of us ever dreamt of and so few people just know about its quality. hi, I just started playing BCM seriously and I am already taken by it. I must confess, I dreamt of this game when playing ELITE back in the late '80s. just played a few instant scenarios so far, but did have surprisingly less problems than expected (because of the complexity of the whole simulation) I do wonder how a multiplayer session does normally unfold. is there some log anywhere to find out? barely can wait to dive deeper into this game...
  10. I go for the name "Haligon" from a classic SF-novel. btw. where to check, if the name is already taken...?
