  1. I've been playin UC for about 2 weeks, and was wondering wondering if there was anything I could do to discourage my FC pilots and maybe even other CC's within the fleet into taking initiative and hyperjumping to enemy stations to attack them with 1 in 1000 odds of surviving the sortie. It seems that, after launching my FC's to defend my ship during a fight, once the threat is eliminated the FC's will automatically jump without giving me sufficient warning to order them back to base. I also notice that when other friendly ships move into a new area, they will agressively move to attack any enemy units, even starbases. Hence I am also loosing XP due to their suicidal tendencies.
  2. Ok, so I've reinstalled my VIA 4in1 drivers, updated the ATI Radeon and Phillips soundcard drivers, checked my MSI/American BIOS and it is up to date. The game is still crashing. It seems that the game crashes occasionally when I click to "logoff" of the battlecruiser computer menus. When the crash occurs, there is no error message. Just a blue screen with the last half second of audio stuttering ad infinum in the background, leaving me the only choice to manually reset the computer. I've checked the Event View logs, and the two suspected entries created by the crash are a save dump followed by a redbook error. Examining the memory dump, the exception error appears to be related to ntoskrnl Again, this problem is isolated to UC, and has not occured during any other game or program. I would appreciate any help you could give me, or if you could even direct me somewhere I could find the information to correct this problem. Thanks again
  3. During certain segments of Universal Combat, the game will fatally lock up giving me a blank blue screen with no option other than to manually reset the computer. These crashes are somewhat frequent, and I have noted them at certain times 1. Attempting to Save a game while in the roam mode, 2. After clicking "accept" upon choosing an AE to load a saved game from the roam mode main menu. As I have not been able to play UC often enough to find all the places where this occurs (i'm willing to bet that its not just isolated to Roam Mode), it has also occured at other times, mostly when involved in one of the many menu dialogues. Keep in mind, as well, that the only segment I have attempted to play so far is the downloadable tutorial. No, I am not playing UC on a laptop. This is an isolated problem while using UC, as this does not occur in any other game or program launched from my computer. Please assist. Thank you for your time in investigating this problem.
