  1. Well I wouldn't like to waste my time in placing links on the Wraith Fleet website when the websites aren't even being used. It is simply a waste of space and doesn't do Wraith Fleet any good to even have those sites on there. So if they have moved maybe they will answer this post or they will finally decide to contact someone about it, otherwise I have no plans on messing with links to other pages. If anything I will just put a link on the website to send people to the fleet links page on the 3000ad website.
  2. I am only asking because I have visited most or all of those sites and have noticed that at least half of them aren't even running correctly or fleet personel aren't using them. For example: If you goto the ISS Fleet website it looks like it is not even being used. The condition it is in has been like that ever since I looked into joining. That was about one week after registering on this forums. Also Orion Fleet hasn't had much activity by it's own members making me think that maybe they have moved and no one knows it. So like I say, if these are the updated links to the individual fleet websites then I would say that ISS and Orion are in trouble and are losing active members. This especially includes Earthcom. So I ask again if I could get the updated links to the fleet websites.
  3. So that Wraith Fleet website is up to date I would like to request that all currently active fleets post their Fleet website here. Thank you, Captain Reed.
  4. Ok if we use the RSS idea then it may take me some time to come up with a way to parse the RSS file into a readable and viewable PHP based page. As it stands so far I have never attempted to do something like this so I am still learning.
  5. Never mind I found some stuff after my search on google. So now I am going to look into what this coding process does and whether I can implement something like this in the Wraith Fleet website.
  6. Now unfortunately I still am unsure of what you are talking about. Now I was wondering if you could send me an example of it or show me something that would explain how I would implement something like this into the Wraith Fleet website. Thank you, Captain Reed
  7. I'm sorry, but what does RSS mean exactly?
  8. All information will be intended those personel authorized by Wraith Command. Also where is this information coming from? Is the information coming from a website or are you going to be sending it in a document form? A website URL would be preferred because Wraith Fleet is setting up a Tac Ops center where regular updates would be preferred instead of having to chase after the CIOPS organization for the information every time. So it would be appreciated if you could setup a regularly updated area were galcom fleets can get information (with consideration for who should have that information, whether it is fleet leaders or all galcom personel). Thank you, Captain Reed
  9. The only information Wraith Fleet would need is that information that would help to gain an upper hand in a battle. So I would say any information that has to do with enemy readiness, enemy installations, fleet movements, and any other information consisting enemy movements and strengths that may be necessary for the success of a mission. Also any links that you give me will be password protected and should not be sent through public channels as requested by Dreada. Thank you, Captain Reed
  10. On behalf of Wraith Fleet I would like to request the link or links that would allow direct access to CIOPS' Intel so that I may link it to the war room intelligence computer in the Wraith Fleet website. If you don't have anything setup for this quite yet then please notify Wraith Command once you do so that I may continue with the rebuilding of the Wraith Fleet website. Thank you, Captain Reed
  11. quote:Originally Posted by: Remo Williams The first fleet MP matches in the history of the BC series have been scheduled for Sunday the 22nd starting at 22:00 GMT. 12. Sounds great...Maybe we can put fear in them with the idea of putting those commanders in a detention hold for treason once CIOPS digs up a ton of reports on the number of attacks those Vesperons have made on galcom vessels (already attacked me 3 times since I started playing for no just reason). They seem to attack galcom ships more often then the enemy raiders or insurgents. So go get them CIOPS people .
  13. The date...July 29 2004. The time...20:27:00. All was quiet in and around Junae, a sector in which Strategic Commander Dreada and I (Commander Captain Reed) were patrolling until a sudden attack from an allied Terran Military vessel. Strategic Commander Dreada was engaged by allied Vesperon class battle cruiser which damaged Dreada's cruiser forcing him to attempt escape by entering the planet's, Junaes', atmosphere. With his systems damaged beyond repair he attempts a crash landing that would turn into his down fall. As he had placed his command craft into auto pilot the vessel plummeted to the planet's surface leaving nothing left but the debre and the graves of the crew onboard the lost cruiser GCV-Terra-Nova . With the loss of the GCV Terra-Nova becoming more clear to me I set a course to intercept and destroy the known spy and traitorous Vesperon class Terran Military vessel . With my partially damaged super carrier Aestrom Class, GCV-Athens, I was in pursuit and preparing for a difficult battle. With shields running at a max of 78% and nreactors at 74% with no go on cloak I continued to prepare what ever I had left to attack the the Vesperon . Once I came out of Hyper Space all Hell broke out. Shields were falling fast and the other ship gaining an upper hand. I had no choice but to attempt evasive maneuvers. With the new tactic allowing my command craft time to recharge shields above 50% I turned and opened up with everything I had, firing missles and the four main Ion guns. Down to my last three missles I decided that it was me or him so I fired those last three missles hoping for contact. With my fingers crossed and the sweat running down my brow they hit and made one of the most beutiful sites in any battle, the destruction of the enemy ship. With the ship burning and exploding brightly against the darkness of space . The Vesperon was destroyed 20:28:49.
  14. well my suggestion in this matter is make him an exception and allow him to check in when he can. And when I say check in when he can I mean almost each time he has a chance given the fact that he won't be checking in on request. For example: If J.Smith is capable of checking in at the end of the month, but can't check in say a month from now then he would check in when he can. But if he can check in again two weeks from now then that would help us to keep track of him and the times that he would be available. Or another idea would be that if he can tell us when he isn't going to be available. Then we don't have to keep wondering. So Dreada, you have a decision to make and I don't know if any way you go with this decision if it will be a good one. So good luck.
  15. We have a total of five members in the fleet, but two are temporary officers that were moved from prime fleet (highly appreciated, need all the help we can get). But even with the five we have it is quite the silent fleet. I know Dreada has been having some problems with his computer, but I don't know if he ever got his problems worked out or not. So Dreada if you got your computer fixed please respond by saying hi or something. Also those of you reviewing the Wraith Charter I had some minor things that I thought would be nice if it were added. If we are going to list the different vessels that we can command then I think instead of just listing some of the specs on certain vessel we should list all so that those people new to the fleet can make a proper assessment on what vessel they would like to use while under the Wraith's command (This only applies if Wraith strategic commander or the fleet commander isn't going to start giving a specific vessel to their commanders). Another thing I have noticed is a few minor typos which aren't anything to worry about unless someone wants to make a big deal out of it. Any ways I have only managed to make it half way through so far because I have been working on my pocket pc. Something is wrong with it. The screen is acting up on the thing. But the good thing is that I got all the files I wanted off it. PS. Can those people (and other members reviewing the charter or reading this post) please feel free to comment on this issue. Thank you, Captain Reed of the GCV-Athens
  16. What are you talking about I was born in '84. I didn't even get my first, real computer until I was about six and it still didn't have an internet connection. Didn't even know that internet existed up until about 3 years later when dial-up started catching on but that was because of the advertisement of AOL....lol. Just joking with you Mrxknown. You are exactly right if you want to be a paranoid schizophrenic you can disconnect yourself completely from the internet and live in this "The internet is bad" world (The above story is not fiction it is true).
  17. Well as I am quite new to the games created by Mr. Smart, but what I have observed from playing the MP is that when a raider such as jamotto himself will go into hyper space as soon as I enter hyper space while in the same sector as him. This means that now I have to play a game of cat and mouse leaving me with little choice but to deactivate my cloak just to get him to stop jumping all over to get away and wear down the use of my cloak. By leaving the chat box the way it is just makes it not worth using the cloak if you can't use it to sneak up on your prey. Now I do agree with the idea of adjusting the cloak to compensate for the change of the chat box. With the cloak changed to maybe deactivate before it burns out or something like that might make it more of a challenge to do a sneak attack because of the limited amount of time before cloak becomes inactive. So as when the meter indicating how high the radiation level is that is being created by the cloak gets above 100% then the cloak should probably have a fail safe inserted to deactivate or maybe even make the cloak fluxuate from the radiation interference which would force the commander of the vessel to deactivate it. (Now those of you who are saying this is off topic....well this topic was created by me so I am adding it in because it is a good point for balancing the sides. ) Thanks again, Captain Reed of the GCV-Athens I hear the stick coming.....
  18. I believe the chat box in MP needs to be tweaked so that the chat box does not reveal a persons position all the time. For example: If you go through a jump gate or jump point, the point at which you leave is displayed as well as the destination. This does not help in stategic and tactical attacks on the enemy. This is especially true when you are trying to sneak into a sector under cloaked conditions. It makes it hard when an enemy is already waiting for you to enter the sector to really gain an advantage on somebody. Also this is a minor issue with stategic movements in MP and should not be consider in any way as a necessary change, but would be nice to be able to move freely while under cloak without the enemy nowing almost every place you have gone and when to expect you to be near them. This is especially true for Wraith Fleet (which is of course the fleet I am member of). Wraith was designed specifically to be a fleet of infilitrators, shadows, or "sneaks" if you would. So this sort of cuts down the sole purpose of some fleets and their strategic importance. So if any body feels the same way or just thinks that the chat box is fine please help with this idea by posting your opinions. Thank you, Captain Reed of the GCV-Athens.
  19. I don't know if my idea means much since the replies on this matter seem to go without end, but I think that the solar reactor just allows you to send enough power to critical systems such as life support and possibly a few other systems. But what I really think that it is meant to do is if your ship is badly damaged and you have a shuttle with towing capabilities then you could initially send power to your launch bays so that you can tow your Command Craft back to a space station of some kind. Of course I could be wrong since I have no idea what the majority of the vessels in this game carry on board as alternate transportation (I only use a Nightstar class heavy carrier). Oh and also on the subject of the difference between setting at 5 or up to 10 I am not really sure about at this time.
  20. Captain Reed reporting for duty sir. It is late but I have noticed that a lot of others have been doing this even though the request for roll call has been issued over a month ago. Suggestion: I think there should be a monthly roll call. This would reduce the amount of problems with inactive members still showing up as active in the fleet database.
  21. How about making the cloak deactivate once you start firing weapons. This would allow someone to at least sneak up on there prey up until they decide to attack. The only disadvantage that this idea creates is when you want to attack a space station (which right now is actually worthless to attempt since you can't destroy the station) or if you are going up against two players which still wouldn't cause too much of a problem because once they uncloak to your six you will still have the ability to maneuver to allow for your turrets to begin firing on the opposing vessel (only if that person has enough time to swing before taking extreme damage and being disable). 22. Well given the fact that my welcome is going to be late, I welcome you King_Cam to the fleet.
