Something is definitely messed up there. But the whole "not possible using today's technology" sounds like a coverup to me! There's nothing in Freelancer that BC3K or BCM doesn't have. I think it's most likely due to internal politics between them and Microsoft. Time will tell. It is a shame if Freelance doesn't get finished, I wanted to see if all the hype was even close to the real game(it still sounded to me that the ship would fly itself and all you would be was a glorified gunner with your mouse - advanced 3D control scheme my but!). Parias how come you're not sending any Radioactive Garden Gnomes after this guy that gave you the bogus Geforce 2? I had a friend that had a similar problem with his Geforce and I believe it had something to do with the voltage on his mobo. But since you tried it in both mobos it's proably not the case. On a side not I read your review of MechWarrior 4. We should play sometime. Maybe I'll take a variant of the new MadCat2 just to drive ya crazy !-) Let me know. It's been a while since I played Mechwarrior( I use to play Mech 2 a lot) but I picked up Mech4 and am having a blast. Never liked Mech3 that much.

You sure he just didn't find out about BCM and realized that there was no point anymore ! I mean for pete sake Freelancer can't compare to BCM and plus you fly around with a mouse? What's up with that? Oh well... As the SC says it is a shame but I'll wait to hear more news before I make any judgements. Maybe he had an outing with his brother and is gonna open up a new company on his own or GOD for bid gonna make movies. I enjoyed the first few Wing Commanders back in the day but the movie... I know that all of us here are Space Sim fans so I thought I would mention this little gem I found today. I'm interested in someday making my own programs and I saw an episode of the Screensavers on TechTV where they talked about this new game making language called DarkBasic. I was checking it out today and I was looking at some of the programs made with it on there Gallery and I came across this game called StarWraith. I decided to check it out, I went to the site and downloaded the demo. Practically everything is disabled in the demo, except you can play one randomly created attack wave in different environments. It is no where on the level of BC3000AD but I was majorly impressed with it. It's a fast & fun sim with pretty good graphics. I am definitely downloading DarkBasic and trying it out. I might also get the full version for StarWraith. It's interesting why the guy made this game. Everything he's looking for is actually in BC3KAD. I'm currently at work and don't remember the name. It's really nice tho. You can switch from best graphics to best FPS really easy, a click of a button. It also lets you modify all the settings individualy and it also lets you over clock. You have to have VB runtimes for it to work. I will find out what it's called when I get home and will edit my post with the info. Did you ever use a program to tweak your Voodoo 3000? I use one that makes sure I don't sinc with my monitor (makes my FPS for Quake 2 go from 60fps to over 100fps) and makes a couple of other adjustments for optimal FPS. I'm not talking about over clocking, just settings. With a new install these settings would not be in your registry for you card. Just a thought. Hope it helps.
