We're trying to set up a LAN on our estate to share the cost of an ADSL connection. If that works out, I should be able to multiplay any time during the day (I work flexitime from home a lot)

I made it through, reached just under 15000 experience, not a system in the yellow, at one point I counted 241 visible ships (plus however many were cloaked) and my frame rate went down to under 2 fps and I basically couldn't aim at all, so I had to cloak, jump across the system and decloak to get them to spread out a little and get my frame rate back up (to 5 fps!). It was insane! but lots of fun

Mine is very understanding as well (especially since she loves playing civilisation:call to power for hours on end, and loves the BC-based stories I wrote( even though she doesn't like sci-fi in general)) and I treat her very well in other ways, and I have a nice job that doesn't require too many hours, so everything works out. She gets more bothered with me being on-line for too long (since we have a pay-per-minute connection)

Congratulations! May all your hearts expand to love this new little one as much as the rest without loving the others any less. We're expecting our second in just under two months, but then Jakub was two weeks early, so we'll see when our lives are enhanced further.

I know I've posted this in the roll call thread, but I thought this title would get your attention more Fleet Wars I'm in if it's at a doable time for me (after 6pm GMT on weekdays or between 10am and 8pm on Saturdays), though I'm not sure how long I could stick around for (I have 13 hours a month free off-peak connection time at the mo., and only at 56k) Who else is prepared to defend the honour of our fleet?

So, are we able to produce at least 5 commanders to take part in SC's Fleet Wars or not? OK, this is weird, but even I can't access them now. OK, try this (it just worked for me). 1. Click the link at the top of the page(open it in a new window) 2. Right click on the links at the bottom of the page, select copy shortcut, then paste them into the adress bar of the new window. It seems you can only access them from a window that has accessed the main page. Enjoy!

You guys still there? you might want to take a look [ here or here I'm downloading the patch at this moment, I won't be able to host any servers with my 56k connection, but we're looking into setting up a LAN on my estate to share an ASDL connection, which probably won't be fast enough to host a server either (unless I can catch a time when hardly anyone else is online) but at least I'd be a whole lot more flexible with the times I can join a server and represent my fleet *salute*

Managed to download all three and installed and run in BCMG no probs. I like what I've seen so far, but I obviously haven't been able to look at too many models in game so far. I especially like what you've done to the starfighter, I'llk be downloading and using the rest of your offerings from now on. Have you touched up the station textures, too? Maybe it's just me, but ISS seems a lot nicer up close, feels bigger.

I've been trying to download them a few times, but with my puny connection having some major problems recently (the download was 96% complete, and my modem decided it didn't want to play anymore, or allow itself to be reinstalled, so I had to reinstall windows) so I hope I'll be able to try at least bumpyships1 today in BCMG. Soon as I do, I'll give ya some feedback.

I went off to brush my teeth whilst playing (three minutes, max), and left my Megaron in direct flight mode without shutting down launch control. When I got back, three of my shuttles had been stolen by intruders

Recruit has been functioning effectively as mascot/ chief morale officer on board, and has requested promotion to similar position for the entire fleet. I would grant his request, but have made it clear to him that I do not have the required authority. Any decision? btw, I'll have to wait until BCMG comes to the shops over here, am a bit short of cash at the moment, and I have other responsibilities now. Any idea when it hits Europe (and where?)

It might take a little while to instruct him in fleet protocols, but I'm sure you'll all agree he has a lot of potential At the moment he can act as my tactical adviser (and quality controller on the baby wipes I give my marines ) Btw, did I tell you guys another new recruit is due in mid-August?
