well when i first bought ucawa the preload was working thats why i think its the computer. its why i wasnt going too post anything about this at first but i was having ucawa withdrawls and thought id ask anyway sorry i wasted your time, new computer should be here in next week and a half all will be good then.

because I have UC as well and can use preload on it just fine.

I tried it with preloads turned off same result i can only assume its most likely this computer so no big deal i have a new one on its way and i can wait.

I wasnt going too post this question as this computer is having technical problems anyway and my new one is being shipped but i thought i would ask any. when I start the game anytime i try too go too a panet or start a ground mission i get CTD and i had preload 3d models on could it be im overloading the memory? the system specs are all current only exceptions are directX is the newest out there and my vid card is a nvidia 5500 256meg i didnt update the info as im waiting for the new computer first then i will update system specs as needed. and thank you for the many years of a fun game, played my first BC when i found it as shareware also Ralph "major havoc" hilton says hello.

I think i looked for the log files in the UC folder and not the UCAWA folder im going too hide in a corner now.

i just ran it with /d5 and had empty log files not sure why either.

yes i do. doing it now. reinstalled april directx. reboot. tried game again with /n same result as before.

black window with game title at top for afew seconds then back too desktop

yes it actually ran the patch after update.....ill use /n now and see what transpires

rolled back too .13 ran gameupdater too .14, ran game 3000AD logo comes up goes back too desktop.

I just tried it and recieved the same results.

I have done all the things you have so far with same results.

yes i have the april directx runtime. I tested the game without the update too make sure i was up too date and it ran fine.

good evening.....i recently purchased UCAWA from D2D, installed game, ran game once too make sure it ran ok then ran game updater too .14, i was getting the same errors as others who posted here, I rolled back the update and ran game updater again just about an hour ago and went into the game, i get the 3000AD logo and crash too desktop. my system profile is uptoo date with one exception the video card i use is an nvidia 5500 256meg, drivers were updated a week ago.
