I just finished installing the demo2. I went thru the setup with no problem. When i went to start it, i got the little BC3000 introduction. Then, it crashed to the desktop. Anyone else have this problem? I remember when this happend with the original game, i created a shortcut for it. And it ran fine. Do i have to do the same thing here? Thanks.

I don't know if this is thr right place to post this or not. It's been a very long time since i've posted anything here, i may have forgotten. I also have forgotten some of the features in BCM. One of them was about getting out of your craft, and walking FP on planets. I know we will still be able to do that. But, my question is, are there going to be enemies we fight on land? Other marines or aliens? I'm not talking about MP. I'm talking about single player. When we step out of our craft, what kind of things will we be bale to do. I'm sorry if this has been covered, but, it's been awhile since i've been here, and i would just like to get caught up on the news. Thanks.

heh. Don't worry, i won't. I bought a Falcon about 1 1/2 years ago. And i love it. So, i was going to get a Talon for now. Then next year, i was going to get a top of the line Falcon. I made the mistake of getting a "off the shelf" computer years ago, and i will never go back. When i get my Talon, i'll probably throw my voodoo2 from my present computer, into my new one. That way i'll have 3dfx support to go along with my GeForce. And i might put in an extra 128 ram. How much is ram going for these days?

Ok. I'm going to be oredering a new computer this week. I have a problem though. I don't know what to go with. I'm only going to have this sytem for about a year. And then i'm going to go all out, and get the top of the line. In the mean time, i want a computer that's going to play the latest games well. I'm thinking of getting an Athlon 700, GeForce, 128ram, 15 gig harddrive. Will this computer be able to run the newest games (especialy BCM) very well? I could go up to an 800, but, i don't want to spend too much money when i'm going to be getting another system next year. Besides, is there much difference between a 700 and 800 Athlon? I could add a couple hundred bucks if i have to, but, i don't know if it would be worth it. So, do you think the Athlon 700 would be a good buy? Thanks.

I'm really into Role Playing Games, so this thread really appeals to me. Just a couple questions though. Are these in game stories that you are doing? i don't know if this is the right forum for this question, but,i did'nt see anything else on multiplay. how will multiplay work in 3020? will the fleets have their own goals and missions? will it be one large breathing world? as say UO is to rpg's? or will it be one big deathmatch type thing? i'm hoping it goes beyond the deathmatch type. how will the fleets be incorporated in muliplayer? i guess what i'm trying to say is, i hope it's something totally different than other games. where you just fly around shooting everything in site. personally, i can't wait for MP. i think it's going to be the best thing to come to gaming in a long time. just like the game itself.

Thanks for all of the great information. It sure will make multiplayer very interesting. That's one of the great things about this game. It draws you in to this big universe. I don't know if this question was answered, but, will the new version have MP? Or do we have to wait until BC3020? Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

I hope i'm posting this in the right spot. How does a person go about joining a fleet? What are these fleets all about? Is it for multiplayer? It sounds really cool, and i would like some info on joining. Thanks.
