Patches for 1.0

Heya! I was just wondering if there is a site that mirrors ALL the patches that were released for the original Version 1.0 of Battlecruiser 3000AD. I borrowed an old CD copy of B3kV1 from a friend, and I'd like to install all the patches so it's playable. I haven't had that much trouble so far, really. Maybe I'm just lucky. It installed and ran fine for a game that's supposed to be really buggy and stuff. I had more trouble getting XvT to run when I got that in '97.

Speaking of v1.0, I went to Electronics Boutique today and bought it for $5. A friend borrowed my 2.0 a while ago, and I didn't want to go get it back, so I bought this one not knowing it was 1.0. Just as Jumper said, it installed perfectly and hasn't crashed yet. Can any of the 2.0 files be installed over the 1.0 files, or is everything completely different? That's really cool though 1.0 is still out and about in stores... I love looking through the bargain bins, you can find the greatest stuff in there.

Ha! I found a site that has all the updates to the 1.0 version, it is right here. It even has the 3dfx test code for v1.01D7C or greater...

I guess there's no update from v1.09d to v2.0... Ah well, its still cool to have a copy of the 1.0 version. ;-)

There's no and never have been a free upgrade from v. 1.x to 2.x. But you can get your upgrade for only 15$ (incl. shipping!)from BC3000AD's Online Store. I think it's true bargain for such a upgrade, believe me!

Wow, this is the first time ever I see v1.0 not crashing.. it made me so curious I uninstalled my 2.0 , reinstalled my 1.0.. 10 mins into the game WHAM!

And that was starting the system in DOS mode with no sound drivers... you people must have a blessed copy

I started mine off in a Windows Dos box and my sound drivers worked perfectly. In fact, it worked better than 2.0 with installation. The menu system inside the game didn't crash either, although it didn't like it when I hit the windows key and had to alt-tab back in... Kinda screwed the graphics up. Other than that it was fine, maybe it is blessed, maybe because I bought it in the store or something. I guess it liked coming in a box.

I found the 1.08b patch which the previous link I gave lacked... You can grab it from this ftp. I'm updating all the way to the 3dfx patch... This is cool.
