Guest creamis Posted March 4, 2001 Report Posted March 4, 2001 Hello, I have some big problems running bc3000ad My system specs are:Pentium II 266 64 mb ram Ati 3d rage pro / voodoo2 Aztech 2320 Comptaible PnP audio (soundcard) Running win98se And version 2.00 of bc3000adProblem #1: Can't update the game... naturally I would need to use the "bc3k200-208" patch and so on to patch up. When i attempt to run the patch I get the Old file not found, however blah blah blah yeah u know the rest! So I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and tryed the "bc3k207-208" patch. I got exactly same response there, Anyone know whats up?Problem #2: When i run the game with 3dfx support It is highly unstable, Its kicking me out on the desktop or sometimes even reboots my computer when running, I have the latest drivers for voodoo2 And all that but it still wont work fine. And i also tryed the things mentioned in the troubleshooting documentProblem #3 Cant get the sound to work.. In the troubleshooting I sawed that I configure the sound card by first running the setup utility without doing a digital sound test. and then configure the Hmiset.cfg file by hand, So anyway i did that and entered all the rightfully IRQ and DMA ports, And when i started the game, i could here some sort of sound but It was more similiar to a Cat with a rocket up its ass or something... :yah i know thats a shitload of problems, But if I could just get the 3dfx thingie to work with no problems I would be more than happy

Ohso Posted March 4, 2001 Report Posted March 4, 2001 Hey, I'm kind of new too, but I'll try to help...Just some ideas: First, did you put the patches in the BC3000AD directory before running them? Is it possible you have 2.08 already? I believe 2.08 still says 2.0 on the box (not sure). What is the date on your executable? As for sound what values are you using? Are you making sure to use SB-emulation values if your card has them and not the PCI settings?Hope some of this helps. [This message has been edited by Ohso (edited 03-04-2001).]
Guest creamis Posted March 4, 2001 Report Posted March 4, 2001 Yeah i had put the patches in the same directory and I do believe that the version is 2.00 cuz once inside the game I could see the version number by pressing Ctrl+v
