Guest Andromada Posted July 22, 2001 Report Posted July 22, 2001 I downloaded Battlecruiser this week and have been tirelessly trying to install it. I have checked the forum and have not seen this error. When I try to install it comes up with an error before it even begins. The error reads: "The operating system is not adequate for running Battlecruiser 3000AD v2.09 freeware". Is there something that I can do to fix this.System SpecWin2K Service Pack 2 256 meg of ram 40 gig hard drive (30gig free) AMD Atholon 1.1Gigahertz DirectX 8.0Any help is appreciated.Andromada
Supreme Cmdr Posted July 22, 2001 Report Posted July 22, 2001 I gues you're one of those whose strongs points is NOT to read documentation, right?Which part of this entry, RIGHT THERE on the FilePlanet downloads page, was unclear? quote: BC3K v2.09 will work on WIN95, WIN98 and in fact, WINME (your mileage may vary)Further, if you had actually looked at the BC3K product page, also linked from File Planet, you would have seen the requirements.I DELIBERATELY disabled the Installer script from working under WINNT, WIN2K and WINXP, for this same reason.I hope you wasted 8hrs downloading it, that should teach you a lesson you're not likely to forget in a hurry.
