Guest poelie11 Posted August 7, 2001 Report Posted August 7, 2001 i've got the free version of bc3k and i started the win version. after playing a time the game stops and returns to the desktop whitout an error. if i try to start in ms-dos prompt it starts but i get a black screen with a blinking cursor in the lower left corner and nothing happens and yes i did the sound setup.
Ronvatar Posted August 8, 2001 Report Posted August 8, 2001 I had the same problem. Except I think it had something to do with putting everyone on 'off duty'. After I put them back to work, it quit crashing.
Papi Posted August 8, 2001 Report Posted August 8, 2001 Hi poelie cmdr, if the win version crashes you must reboot your machine in order to get your game to work at all. If your dos version gets stuck with blinking cursor you can try to press "win" key, "ctrl-tab" or "alt-tab" to get you back to desktop without hard booting and then reboot your machine.I've had fewer craches in win version if I create profile and played only in win version.I maybe wrong but just feels like it

Yesterday after posting this message i tryed again with succes but after a while the game stops and i get a bunch of error lines with weird numbers and letters (this is in the dos version ) is this something to do with my memory. ive got a pentium 2 233Mhz 6Gb HD 4GB free XGA VIDEO CARD
Papi Posted August 8, 2001 Report Posted August 8, 2001 Could be that you have corrupt save game file, delete all saved games and try again.
